The Banff Wildlife Crossings Project was implemented in Banff, Alberta.
Combined with fencing to keep the animals off the road, the structures have reduced animal-vehicle collisions in the area by more than 80% (>96% for elk and deer alone).

A Swiss aerospace company has unveiled the SiriusJet, a revolutionary luxury VTOL aircraft powered by hydrogen. Refueling for maximum range costs a mere $500. The aircraft features 28 ducted fans, including 20 along the wings and 8 in the canard, each powered by an electric motor, minimizing noise to less than 60 dB. This 3-seater aircraft boasts an impressive range of 1150 miles (1850 km), far surpassing typical electric eVTOLs. The SiriusJet offers a pressurized cabin, zero emissions, and a top speed of 323 mph (520 km/h), reaching altitudes of 30,000 feet. It takes off and lands like a helicopter but flies as fast as an airplane, making it a game-changer in the aviation industry.

I'll stick with my Tesla. I can refuel that for less than £20. It doesn't go 1100 miles though to be fair.

In 1898 Nikola Tesla tricked an entire crowd into believing they could control a 3ft boat by shouting commands – in fact he invented Radio Control and piloted the boat himself. YES… REMOTE CONTROL. wireless in 1898

Japan is clear that neither Electric, nor hydrogen is the future...
New fuel and engine generation unveiled to the world...in the progressively dynamic automotive industry with cutting-edge technological advancements, issues of environmentalism have presented numerous developments.
While electric vehicles (EVs) have gained some traction, Toyota, in collaboration with China’s Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC), has unveiled a groundbreaking alternative: the engine plausibly runs on ammonia using an internal combustion engine.
This development puts into question the concept that battery electric vehicles are the solution to the automotive industry’s supposed "carbon emission problem".
The proposed prototype engine of Toyota and GAC is a radical change in the development of motors mainly driven by fossil fuels. It is a flammable, environment-friendly fuel that can be obtained by liquidising ammonia (NH3) and possibly mixing other ingredients to form a perpetual fuel blend.

Can't see that taking on. Ammonia hydroxide is extremely volatile and hideous to handle. Wouldn't go near a station full of of ammonia with the proverbial barge pole.

A photographer and his wife planted 2 million trees in 20 years to restore a destroyed forest, and now even the animals are back, certainly an example to follow.

China's 1st hydrogen-powered smart tram rolled off the assembly line Mon in Yibin, SW China's Sichuan.
The zero-emission tram with a 35MPa hydrogen storage system can run over 200 km on a single fill-up, meeting the long-distance operational needs of urban public transport.

China is moving damn quick in their tech development, for good and bad.

But who paid the tax for it?

In all seriousness though, I'm glad that we can hear stories like this right now, makes one think what we've done is reversible in time to stop serious trouble for ourselves and the biosphere.

Not quite sure what you mean on the tax point, I agree - lets plant more trees

Because we've had discussions regarding measures to deal with environmental issues and the tax money they may or may not cost before.  :)

Obviously agree more trees is a good idea, alongside other measures.

They may have a rep for using far too much coal (which is mostly true), but the Chinese are also taking renewable power very seriously.

And given recent developments in the US, it may well be that for the next few years they will be put into the role of global leader on changing energy infrastructure before the consequences become too horrible.

Imagine that - China having to lead the way in actually guaranteeing the futures of hundreds of millions of people (minimum) outside their borders.

Joby Aviation's hydrogen-powered air taxi completed a 523-mile test flight, a significant step towards zero-emission regional air travel
The aircraft, which uses a liquid hydrogen fuel cell and hydrogen-electric propulsion system, emitted only water vapor during the flight.
The company plans to start commercial operations of its battery-electric air taxi in 2025.
The hydrogen-powered model could offer emission-free inter-city aviation in the future.
The aircraft's range could be increased to over 900 miles.

Are they saying that hydrogen can be produced emission-free, or are they just saying that once it has been produced, this vehicle doesn't create any further emissions?
