I’m getting fed up of everyone coming back to defend a corner leaving nobody upfront.

Leave Vardy & Mahrez on the halfway line and you’ll see the opposition leave 4 players back to defend them.

Exactly this! Totally frustrated with seeing Vardy especially coming back to defend corners. Leave him up front ffs!

did this during the escape and the title winning season and it worked perfectly well.

teams were leaving shit loads of players back.

I remember Ranieri doing at home against Stoke during the title winning season. He left 3 on the half way and it forced Stoke to leave 5 back if I recall correctly.

We need to put some serious work in. No point increasing our possession stats if nobody is going to bother clearing anything which comes near our 6 yard box. We've had the occasional dodgy moment in games for a while now, but were utterly appalling today- we looked lost. Sort it out Claude.

The 2 key factors in dealing with set pieces.

1) Communication & organisation which we lack abysmally when Huth isn’t in the team.

2) Having a goalkeeper that commands his 6yrd box & is able to deal with crosses which are Kaspers obvious main weaknesses & the reasons why top clubs haven’t taken the chance on him.

It also leaves the box less crowded which favours the defending team. With all our players back and up to nine of the opposition in the box it causes more confusion which can only favour the attacking team.

The worst of it today was we had three centre halves playing so we should be well stocked in defending set pieces.

We need to have a re-think on these. The goalkeeper needs to start coming out and commanding his area as top priority. We don't win the headers man on man, so if we are going to lose them we may as well go back to men on the posts.

100% right. Now getting embarrassing.

We need a specialist set piece coach.

They exist, Leeds have one, why shouldn't we?

Been thinking this myself for a while now, either as a temporary or permanent solution . Would it be a case of too many cooks etc. or an admittance of failing by recent coaching set ups .

With set plays being responsible for so many points being won and lost these days ( defense and attack. ) is it worth considering. ?

Vardy is good a getting his head on corners but player like Mahrez & Gray would be a good shout. Gray has the pace but can't head a ball or tackle so leave him up front!
