I've just bought one, and when I've turned it on the fan seems to be making more noise than on my original Xbox - it's not bad, just irritating! I'm sure I read online some people have sent theirs back, but their replacements have the same issue so they just ended up getting their Xbox replaced until it ran out of warranty.
