The reaction on here to the Choudhury substitution was disappointing. Managers should be applauded for showing faith in the youth.

Agree, I have been impressed with him most every time he's suited up for us. Even in games where he's made some mistakes, he's shown he deserves a place on the squad, and we have every reason to believe the wisdom of Lord Puel, First of his Name, Eater of Tots will keep improving him.

That was glorious! Great effort from everyone to a man and 2 fantastic goals! Top top performance and we looked pretty good at the back for the most part. Great result and good to get one over on them after our hammering last season! Future looks good. Add Silva into that midfield with Ndidi and Iborra and we are starting to build a very good side!

We played short passing tonight, a lot more than we have done pre Puel. It was noticeable and a joy to see

Agreed but it was with a purpose tonight. Where as previous games it has slowed the game down to the detriment of our attacks. By direct I meant quick and purposeful on the front foot, not direct as in pumping it to Vardes.

I agree it is beautiful to see and that game wouldn't have looked a miss in the end of Pearsons reign slash into the title season.  Just majestic.

Yeah he’s superior to Fuchs now imo. Offers more attacking wise too

It's true.Fuchs was a major part of our title win - and I will never stop getting chills down my spine when I think about "that pass" to Vardy for his record breaking goal (genuinely spine tingling moment). But I think he is wise enough to know that it is time to step aside. I hope he helps behind the scenes - cos he has a good brain on him.

Iborra was the best player on the pitch, Ndidi close second. Immense

Iborra first half was 10/10, he was a great purchase

Unbelievable feeling beating those Tottenham twáts, great effort from everyone today. It's quite likely that Liverpool and Burnley will leapfrog Spurs tomorrow night too

Some highlights from the FlaccidCock:

Vardy goal reaction from page 10, Mahrez page 17.

Misery ensues throughout the thread.

I'm not gonna lie... I ain't in the mood for not winning tonight.
Last season's 6-1 wasn't 'revenge' for the season before... it wasn't even close!

At best it was what we shoulda been DOING to them the season before...

It didn't make up for it... it was like offereing paracetamol to a decapitated man... it didn't even touch the surface of the pain they'd inflicted the year before....

Tonight is merely a continuation of the retribution we owe them... and their happy clappy-flappy fans who apparently now hate us too...
Well cuntos.... the feeling is mutual!

TONIGHT.... WE GO FOX HUNTING!

I can't bloody stand these pricks!!!! It's not even the title win that's made me feel bitter. It's the fact they are so obsessed with us and see us as a rival. For years they have been incredibly bitter towards us. Anyway let's hope we stuff the inbreds like we did last season. Mediocre happy clapping *****!!

*minus Okazaki. I rate him and he seems like a great guy.

Yeah... no ****ing penalty... if he'd been wearing red with a ****ing GUN on his chest (and Wenger hovering over the ref's child with his cock halfway up his arse) it may have been given...
we're ****ed because we have't bought our way to the title with corrupt oil money, or some weird illuminati Child porn ring that guarantees a result...

we may as well give up now... 'cos we're playing it straight and trying to give English Youth a chance...

**** that... let's just buy up all the foreign talent and purchase our next trophy.
****ing 'British' football has totally gone to shit.

it can g **** itself for all I care...

How many soft as shite last minute ref howlers do they get? How many do we get ?
We were responsible for playing like ***** against Woolwich and West Brom and the first half tonight, not the refs.

The refs didn't make Sissoko have all the finesse of a pissed Kevin Spacey, the refs didn't make us pass like complete *****, the refs didn't make Lloris watch the ball for thirty seconds as it trickled over the line and on and on and on. We are to blame for our current state of affairs, no one else.

And it wasn't a penalty on Rose at the death either.

Salah has been the signing of the summer so far.

But on the next tier down are Richarlson of Watford, Gross of Brighton and in my opinion Iborra of Leicester in terms of the impact they are having on their respective sides.

As for Iborra, I heard that he came from sunny spain, to live on Saffron lane. Could someone please confirm that information for me? :)

Brilliant game. Yes, slightly shakey in the second half but a team of Spurs quality with a half-time rocket up their arse was always going to be tough to contain.

Classy goals, good defending. The future is looking bright under Puel in my opinion.
