Getting to pens was a bonus, given our equaliser was a lucky one.

 

If anyone had to miss for us, I would rather it was JV and RM, rather than a new player. Imagine if Iheanacho missed it...

 

The positive we have to take from that game is that Man City faded and we picked up as the game wore on.

players gave it 100% in my opinion, fair play. 

 

also, good to see some second team players also taking up Puel's style of football.

People can look for positives because we took it to penalties if they like, but the truth is that was an utterly pathetic performance and only awful refereeing kept us in it.

 

The manager should be ashamed for not putting our strongest team out for that. Man City were poor and yet we were 2nd best throughout by some way.

 

A chance to get to a semi final and we showed absolutely nothing from start to finish.
