His excuse on that was the first half is over. He pointed at his watch immediately. He got Amartey spot on but his inconsistency was infuriating. The penalty shout on Maguire, three minutes after pulling him for the push on was awful. 

 

Some are too critical of us; at 1-1, Gray misses a tap in.

Very even game, fair result. For such a dramatic match, not much happened apart from the goals and ref being a general dick, and neither team were much good.

 

Typical Match of the Day - Highlighting Man Utd's misses but not our shot cleared off the line or Schmeichel's howler for their 2nd goal. The coverage was totally swung to make them look dominant. I hate Danny Murphy.

No arguing that Moss is dogturd - a complete joke of an official in EVERY game he refs. 

 

Lads played well in patches  against a very strong side managed by a moaning moron. I used to like Jose in his first Chelsea stint, but now the guy has become a parod. He’s like Wengers retarded cousin or something - The specialist in BS. 

 

Albrightons performance was mostly solid in my opinion and that last ball was sublime. Harry’s goal nearly sent the Christmas tree through the window as I volleyed a glass bauble in celebration. Wife had a face like Moaniho’s.

7 pages and I can't believe that hardly anyone has mentioned Schmeichel's positioning for their second. He nearly cost us that game tonight and it's becoming a bit of farce. I'm surprised the coaching staff haven't pulled him up on it as he's conceded around 6 goals in recent years from similar situations. He needs to improve this area of his game very quickly. To be fair to him he did redeem himself with that wonderful one on one save, but I'll be very disappointed if he fails to learn from his mistake tonight.

He's been a superb servant to the club.

TBH, Marc hasn't really crossed like that very much for the past (calendar) year - which is why it's disappointing.  Hopefully today's match will help him get his radar fully calibrated again, and we'll see more like that for the rest of the season :)

 

EDIT: Apparently we managed 50% possession :blink:

Kasper always gets blamed for free kicks,

sometimes you’ve just got to admire a great free kick,to get it up and over,kasper had a 6 man wall,all big lads,there’s nothing he could have done,

and for those who will disagree,

i think he more than redeemed himself tonight with his 1-1 saves,

i will always say kasper will earn you more points than he costs you over a season

Great result and on the whole a good performance.  I think sometimes our title winning season clouds some people's judgement about where we are as a team in terms of size, stature, resources and expectations.  I watch games thinking "we can beat these, we won the league" but deep down I know my place.  I know OUR place and you know what?  I like our place.  Underdogs.  A smaller team showing up the rest.  And I don't say this because I lack ambition or because I am happy to be bottom of the league but because I am reasonable and I know that without absolutely massive monetary expenditure no one can compete at the highest level on a long term consistent basis.  We are a mid table team and, as such, a draw against Utd is a good result.  I am not saying we should just accept mediocrity but we should not expect to roll everyone over.  I want us to challenge for the title every season but I am aware that it would take time and effort and money to get anywhere near that level.

 

Lots of talk recently on this site about Puel letting us down by picking a weak team in the cup.  Talk about our side against City in the cup being "disgusting".  Talk about our players being shit and no one at the club having a clue.  Talk about "embarrassing" performances, etc.  You know what I find embarrassing and disgusting?  Entitled, moaning, negative little fans constantly looking at a chance to have a dig.  Yes, I am too positive, I know that and I react badly to criticism of the team and sometimes I go too far but if I step back for a minute and take a breath I can see when sometimes criticism is just or necessary.  I can also see when it is not and quite often on here it is not.

 

We are Leicester City.  We won the league.  But we also should be aware that it was a beautiful miracle and of where we are currently as a club and of course we should dream big but we should realise it takes time and money and luck and continued, slow growth to get there.  I've been a fan all my life and for most of that time (bar the O'Neill years) we have been absolutely sh1te but I like the sh1te.  It makes the good bits better and this really is "a good bit".  If we finish top half this season people forget that apart from when we won the league it's pretty much our best league finish in recent history.  I used to idolise players like Elliott and Taggart, Guppy and Marshall and now all I see is digs and moans.  Maguire should be loved.  Ndidi, Gray and Chilwell encouraged, not undermined.  Vardy should basically be sucked off by one of us every game.  Let's enjoy it all a bit more eh?  Football is supposed to be fun.  We might be fvcking sh1te again for the next 20 years so let;s not miss the fun of this by fooling ourselves into thinking that if we don;t finish in the top 4 everyone at the club is a cvnt.

 

We are Leicester City and we are the greatest team in the world, even when we are not.  This is OUR team and we should love it.

 

Right, I'm off to pretend to be Matt Elliott turning Desially on a sixpence as makeshift striker.....  Come on you fvcking Foxes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He stands too far to one side. It' so obvious. Its shocking that he hasn' t sorted this out by now. That free kick didn't even go in the corner .

Admire the free kick? lol it’s not in the corner and for some reason he went for t with his wrong hand.

 

He has a history of it no doubt, I can remember 3 off the top of my head in the last few seasons where he has done similar.

 

Good keeper but not faultless.

Great result and very good performance given Amartey's sending off. It felt like a win really!

 

We had 49.8% possession according to Opta stats too, which is incredible given we had 10 men for the last 20+ minutes. Under Puel we have beaten Spurs and gotten a draw versus United. We've lost to Man City twice, but one was in the cup. I think we've definitely got that top 10 team look to us.
