Seems untouchable for a lot of fans but the list of cost points due to Kasper this season is bad bad reading - even the BBC study a few weeks ago highlighted this.

I've long thought he doesn't command his area enough and is very poor at saving free kicks.

 

On form though he is a good enough GK for us - he's just on a bit of a poor run this season and still pulls out quality saves.

He’s lost us as many now. He’s a liability and the worst part of that back four. We need to be ruthless from now on and put sentiments aside, otherwise we will keep having days like today. Time to get rid of weak links starting with Kasper.

This is ridiculous. The man is one of our best players and probably in the top 5 keepers in England on his day. He has won us so so many games.

Will always love kasper, he’s been a good servant and a hero many a time. But yes recently he has been poor. He was very lucky against United not to have conceded many more due to mistakes.

 

hopefully he will pull through this. I can’t see us actively trying to get rid any time soon. And the way he’s playing nobody will pay our asking price. So it looks like we’re stuck with him.

Think he has lost his desire tbh. 100k a week and no competition would probably do that to you. 

 

Pulled some proper clangers this season though. No big team will touch him, so that's good I suppose as he's a good keeper for a europa league push.

I don't know what to think. Genuinely believe he's one of the best in the league but he really has cost us too many goals this season.

Saves more points than he costs us.  He needs to get a bit better at his positioning for free kicks (overconfidence in my opinion) but today was just unlucky for that free kick.  That guy shinned it from the free kick.

Kasper (on current form) and Maguire are similar - will win us points in areas where they excel but at the same time also lose us points from mistakes.

Players peak then go on the decline, look at Joe Hart. Of course it's ridiculous to write Kasper off; he has been disappointing this season and has made a few howlers so he needs to learn and up his game a bit. Having next to no competition for his place doesn't help though.

Shit the bed..... a top five goalkeeper who doesn’t know where to stand on set plays? He’s too rash and has made some awful decisions lately. He’s been responsible for so many poor goals this season so far, and it’s exactly this approach that keeps him between the sticks. Give me Butland any day.

He's been poor but today's is quite unfortunate. You have to gamble that it's coming back across goal. You expect him to do better but that's a massive slice of fortune in it for them. Dragovic should also do better.
