Released by Everton at the age of 13. Last offers mentioned were in the region of £1m, including one from his former club.

Central to attacking midfielder, currently at four goals and one assist for the Rovers' U23.

Good luck to him. A bit poor that they could only find one of Matty James' shirts for him to hold up.

Watched the U23 game v Chelsea last night. He played about 70 mins and looked pretty good. Quite lightweight as you would expect for his age and playing against mainly older players but had a great touch and showed really good vision at times. Time will tell but promising start.

Like what the club is doing with the academy. Get plenty of talented youngsters in, and as long as the right coaching is in place it will benefit the first team or turn a profit in the long run.

Do you think the right coaching is in place...?

If not, your theory falls down and we just end up winning "development" games without actually developing players

No idea. The youth sides look competitive at the moment, suppose we will find out whether any of the current crop are up to first team standard in time.

A lot of credit here to our staff - Puel, Rudkin, Macia etc.

The lad's family were hugely impressed with these guys, the presentation they put on etc

Turned down both Merseyside clubs and others to join us

May not end up being a great player for us of course, who knows, time will tell, but there are elements of our recruitment which should be applauded
