We seem to have a very simple game plan.

 

1, Hoof it up to Vardy

2, Vardy shoots whenever he gets the ball

3, Repeat steps 1 and 2 until Nacho and Diabate come on to repeat step 1.

 

it works half the time though.

Another Saturday ruined by a lack of adventure by Puel

Mostly 5s; Maguire and Mahrez 6; James, Silva and Albrighton 4.

Schmeichel(5) - Rarely troubled today 

Amartey(N/A) - Not on long enough

Morgan(4) - Looked uncomfortable 

Maguire(6) - Best of a bad bunch, nothing got past him, especially second half

Fuchs(6) - Did ok, defended well enough

Mahrez(4) - The saviour but overall he was poor, kept giving the ball away

James(4) - Odd good defensive work, overall a pretty AWOL performance 

Ndidi(5) - Worked hard defensively but lacked composure

Silva(3) - His passing was abysmal

Albrighton(3) - Poor crossing and just kicked it anyway, no composure on the ball

Vardy(3) - Thought I was watching DJ Campbell

 

Chilwell(4) - Out of his depth, he's so bad in defensive situations

Diabate(5) - Think he was the only player who took someone on 

Iheanacho(4) - We improved when he came on; however his touch is abysmal

 

Puel(3) - Very poor, I'm starting to lose patience, his style of football sucks

Chilwell MoTM for me. 

James was poor to non existent and I have been one to defend him this season. Jasper didn't really have anything to do, though his distribution was much better today. Morgan and Maguire were solid as ever.

Mahrez was poor consistently giving the ball away and Vardy offered nothing. I was disappointed with Silva. Middies was great in patches but also made some poor decisions.

Amartey  looked good when he was on 6

Fuchs 7 adjusted well to the change of position

Mahrez 5(+1) for the free kick at the end

James 2

Ndidi 6

Silva 5

Albrighton 4 (not a right back)

Chilwell 8 best position for him is LWB

I don't know how you can say that when we looked pretty good under him earlier in the season. Very impressive at times. We seem to be getting worse all the time now.

 

I can't see any signs of improvement whatsoever.

We give them far too much time to organise the defence while passing the ball sideways. We need more direct  movement at pace, whatever the formation. 

 

Vardy upfront on his own is isolated, The ball over the top is not working anymore.

Amartey 7 though he was playing well until his injury

Morgan 5 looked a bit shaky would prefer dragovic next game

Maguire 7 solid game

Fuchs 6 played quite well at cb 

Mahrez 7 plus one for the goal, our only creative outlet but was a bit wasteful in possession

James 1 don't remembering him touching the ball

Ndidi 8 played well, our only consistent midfielder

Silva 5 struggled today with not my support, his touch vanished second half

Albrighton 3 really bad for a while now, crosses rarely beat the first man and just wasteful in general

Vardy 6 barely any service couldn't of done much else

 

Chilwell 7.5 thought he played well and has been getting a lot of unfair stick, switches off every now and then and isn't the strongest defensively but he's 20 and needs time to learn

Iheanacho 5 dint really do anything

Diabate 6 looked direct and threatening needs more game time

As long as the attack is built for Vardy no attacking player brought off the bench will perform. Start Nacho,diabate and mahrez up front, Silva,Ndidi and iborra in mf and watch the goals start to flow in.

I pretty much agree, but mahrez gets the same score as James,  james had no impact on the game, but mahrez rescues a point, but is equally as poor as a player who was invisible all game

Anybody who rates mahrez the same or lower than James are doing it because they don’t like him.

 This is why these surveys are pointless unless people give honest scores, but people give over the odds scores for their favourite’s, and hammer those they don’t unfairly.

Kasper 7 Can’t remember him having anything to do and his spirit at the end wasn’t great to see

Silva 5 Not as bad as some suggest but still looks too lightweight to me 

 

James 5 Running through treacle when he tries to run, pretty anonymous 

 

Ndidi 7 The best of the three midfielders 

 

Mahrez 7 Played pretty well and his goal showed what a genius he is 

 

Vardy 5 Feels unfair to grade him because with these tactics, he doesn’t stand a chance. So isolated

Don't care if he rescued a point, Mahrez overall was yet again poor, a player who constantly gives the ball away doesn't warrant an above average rating, if he hadn't have scored I would've gave him a 3.
