TheMightySystem Posted 14 April 2018 Share Posted 14 April 2018 Our issue is no-one will go close to the player with the ball leaving no passing options and forcing the ball long.

vanity Posted 14 April 2018 Share Posted 14 April 2018 Anyone blaming Puel is deluding themselves. We have some cancerous prima donnas on this team, and we have players who lack the skills to play their position in this formation. We need to get better, we need to clear out a number of our title winners (Morgan, Fuchs, Simpson, MAHREZ, possibly Kasper), sign better players with the right skills, and we need to keep Puel. Anything else, we will be firing our next manager midseason when we quit on that manager too.
ithuriel Posted 14 April 2018 Share Posted 14 April 2018 Personally I do blame the manager, when he first arrived we tried playing passing from the back but for a fair few games now the passing has been horrendous and the same with the positioning plus we have barely ever played the same squad game after game. One thing I noticed is that in previous seasons Okazaki always looked happy, even when warming up on the touchline when used as a sub and he would respond to the crowd but the past couple of months he has not looked happy at all and I would not be surprised to see him leave at the end of the season.

Having more possession, dictate the game, confiscate the ball puts the defense under more pressure than surredering possession and waiting for the counter. Because fck logic. What is the usual outcome of all that possession though? We are more likely to give the ball away in a dangerous area than create a chance because we don’t play possession with a purpose. It’s all backwards and sideways. Edited 14 April 2018 by foxes21
