Premier League Thread 2018/19 stuff it in here.

Like for you but less so a frustrating day...

Made loads of changes which is fine as you have a squad for a reason -  trouble is Newcastle scored first then sat back and really we lacked any great ideas until nicking one late on.

Must say Rondon played very well for them and as expected Newcastle were well set up.

Rondon is a very good player, it was a couple of years ago against west brom watching him live against us, that I realised how good a player he is. Great work rate for a big guy and worked the defenders constantly, plus he can hold a ball up. Would have loved Lcfc to pick him up.

Would rather have a historically well-supported club in Liverpool to win the league, than a club run on oil money and supported by those who 'glory-hunt' etc.

That’s fair enough although Liverpool have spent hundreds of millions too and their hysterical entitled fans will be unbearable

See I know loads of Liverpool fans and none are like that. They are so cautious in saying they have a chance this year in winning the league. Likewise I was on a train with quite a few after our match against them in August and they were really respectful, compliment us on signing James Maddison and saying we gave them a real scare. Also a large proportion of the tributes left seemed to be from Liverpool fans.

We should've been onto Rondon when Ulloa was showing his age, really would help to have something it would stick to up front, plus his strength & experience.

Strange we never really replaced Ulloa, Slimani was attempt and we're probably still paying him a wedge but it's a gaping hole in our options, especially given the amount of crosses we put in

Yep and if we were truly after Anderson we fvcked that up too.

Both would address problem areas we have.

I also do not mind Liverpool winning the league-  their squad mentality and the love they have for each other and Klopp is something that should be admired.   Expect for the fact I made a bet with a Liverpool supporting relative that Man City would win the league when Liverpool was only two points ahead.

Would Anderson have chosen us over the bright lights of London? He's probably on ridiculous money at West Ham as well.

The buzz of *new stadium* and that combined with the big names being linked and mass overhaul of the squad from a prem winning manager probably swung it.

Mixed with the stupid money they're probably offering.
