Looks like things have gone abit quite of the Evans transfer, no other club seems interested in him. He's abit of an enigma, seems like Leicester, West Ham and Everton are only interested in Grealish or Maddison

Or players are on international duty and agents on holiday ?  If clubs know stuff is agreed then what’s the rush ???

I'd suggest there many clubs interested, his agent will be working his way through all of them to get the best offer for his client.

That's not logical.

Why would agents go on holiday just as the transfer window opens when they could holiday when the transfer window is closed?

The rush is a player will get a lot more money sooner and doesn't have to worry about a freak accident ending their career before cashing in.

Agents don't go on holidays during the summer transfer window.

Or the 7 days after that

Depends when his agent gets back from his holidays in Ibiza.

Unlikely Ibiza - any decent agent will be able to afford a more exclusive destination...

Well wherever he is, I hope he negotiate this soon. Rudkin takes long enough as it is.

What's the hold up? If we don't have a marquee CB signing I'll spend the start of next season with my head in my hands watching Puel demand Morgan play one touch football.

Probably players/agents on holiday.

Why not?  If the players are away and club reps are also on their hols, who are they going to speak with?  Most of agent’s work re deals is done whilst the window is shut in preparation for its opening.

Our DOF did, Walsh used to, managers do, agents do.

Agents going on holiday during the transfer window is a bit careless. This is when they earn their living. Go to the Bahamas in September.

They have months to get business done. Having a weeks holiday early on isn't going to cause any problems.

He hasn't received his £4m fee so he can't afford a more exclusive destination. anyway Marbella was full.

Because it would be irresponsible and rather stupid. And your comment that "most of agents work is done whilst windows is shut" is a straw man.

I think you are either deliberately missing the point or really fail to understand business.

They‘re not going to miss out on business during the most important time of the year.

Also, they’re in touch with various clubs, doesn‘t matter whether their representatives are in or out of the office. Usually, they’re not on holidays, neither. And if they are, it’s a week/ten days at most.

Also, agents don‘t only have work to do in the summer or in January. It‘s pretty much an all-year affair, with them scouting, taking care of their clients‘ business and - depending on the relationship - even private matters.

Let‘s not forget that most agents take care of several clients at once and transfrer windows vary from country to country and league to league, so there‘s always something to do.

That's not exactly "going on holidays" in classical terms, is it?

Agents can't afford real holidays, anyway. Not if they're serious about their job.

As far as DoF and HoR are concerned, they usually have a deputy in place for the time being.

And if we've learnt anything, transfer dealings aren't done exclusively in the summer transfer period, either - they come with a history. For instance, the Pereira deal was initiated as early as last January.
