Crystal Palace post match thread 5 - 0

A painful truth:

The players are obviously as bored and confused by Puel's words as we are by his mind-numbingly bland interviews.

There is no chemistry between manager and players.

Sack him. Now.

There's no way he's staying, but about 10 of our players should follow him out the door

  1. Mahrez
  2. Morgan
  3. Simpson
  4. Okazaki
  5. Fuchs
  6. Musa
  7. Slimani
  8. King
  9. Hamer
  10. Ulloa

Can all go and we won't be losing anything from the last few games. Wages from that bunch amounts to about £600,000/week.

Prob for the best as he is garbage.

To be fair, everytime a manager tries to do something these so called senior power players try to get him sacked. I think some of these need to go at the same time as Puel

Thing is though, look at record with managers since Claudio. Who in their right mind would take the job on?

If Claude could be trusted to clear the old guard out, could he still do the business? It might be the best option

No. In his transition to this dull style of football we were playing quick attacking possession football that was sensational. He stopped us continuing that for this. The squad needs clearing out, but so does the manager. Some of the board too arguably.

More money to spend than at Newcastle?

More money for our director of football to spend on players who don't fit in with our squad and playing style, absolutely. He seems to like it at Newcastle and is hugely popular with the board and fans. I can see why he might drop all that for the Arsenal job, maybe, but not for us

I'm joining the Claude out brigade.

The performances recently, against teams struggling at the bottom of the table, have been horrendous.

Our players are limited but he doesn't have a clue how to coach them, we've not created a goalscoring opportunity for weeks! Why did he let our two tall strikers leave on loan when his only tactic is our fullbacks crossing into the box? There is no interplay between the players on the pitch, we are all over the place and today's result was a direct result of his terrible management, lineup, and tactics.

He's not going to turn this round. He's tried all our players and can't get anything out of any of them. Why let him spunk away £50m this summer?

Massive rebuild job needed this summer, including the management team!

Wanted to give him time, but also said he had to finish the final few games strongly, and it has gotten a lot worse!

Hoping the Owners have someone in mind and ready to go, as we can't afford to waste any time as there is a lot to do this summer!

The thing i'm most shocked about today is how many people are shocked.

It really is no surprise.

This game was another level to the last 3 or 4. There were positives in those games, this was one o the worst games I've ever watched.

Keep:

Schmeichel

Maguire

Dragovic (fat chance)

Ndidi

Iborra

Albrighton

Diabete

Vardy

So that's about 15 new players needed.

KS and Albrighton can go. I think they are complicit in the player power issues. Only keeping Vardy because he can change a game for us - but he is complicit in it all too.

We need the players to play as a unit, and that means allowing new players in, accepting new ideas of how to do things, and not forcing out managers every few months.

The managers also need to not allow it. NP let them become a tight group, but you know he wouldn't stand for any of their bollocks either.

Not one for knee jerk reactions but he's obviously lost the trust in the players to do what he wants them to do. Players are as much to blame as anyone else though, and a consistent few have underperformed for a while now.
