I was at his first game with some uni pals (Liverpool fans) and I remember us all thinking we had signed a worldy.  X

Weird you should mention that. Whenever anyone talks about Junior Lewis I always mention that he actually had a blinder of a debut!

I went with some mates from school and we were all like "Wow, how was this guy only playing for Gillingham?!"....by game 3 we were asking "Wow, how did this guy even get to play for Gillingham?'" Lol

No doubt about it though, he looked class on his debut.

Lynex - superb cameo between the sticks

Impey - for the extra long socks

Tunchev - the Bulgarian bruiser

Kaamark - for making Juninho cry

Platnauer - cos he's my mate

Mills (Gary, not Matt) - remember him one night at Filbo St bringing the ball out of defence and crossing a brilliant ball pinpoint across field. Dunno why, but I remember it clear as day and thinking, wow!

Parker - set piece supremo, who occasionally took them a little too early.

Abe - same enthusiasm and effort as Shinji and like him, underrated.

Steve Thompson - ole Tommo

Hume - Huuuuuuuuuuuuuume! Our best ever Canadian player.

Joachim - the crown Jules

That I've seen play.

Conrad Logan - No explanation needed

Nobby Solano - Great pro, fun having him here.

Wasilewski - Monster, beast, animal, whatever.

Miguel Vitor - On loan for a season, fantastic in the championship and surprisingly his career took him to Israel rather than the top like I thought.

Bruno Berner - Dependable, great guy, another brilliant Pearson signing

Knockaert - He loved us, we loved him.

Cambiasso - Not quite a legend in my eyes but showed glimpses that he was once world class for us at the tender age of 35.

Wellens - Scapegoated, weirdly, despite being one of our best players for a few seasons.

Gallagher - A bit soft at times and not very consistent but capable of sublime goals and great set pieces.

Nugent - Ran his bollocks off, loved the club, scored goals.

Fryatt - Great in 08/09

Subs: Futacs , Sol Bamba, Kyle Naughton, Kisnorbo, Gudjonsson, Waghorn, Vassell.

You could pick a lot of our League One lot here. Dyer, Berner, Howard, Fryatt, Hobbs.

Lloyd Dyer really was ****ing phenomenal for us on free.

Quote

I love this club and everyone in my family loves this club. My young son loves this club. Everyone at the club is good to me and the fans are great to me. I don't want to go anywhere.

This will probably sound a bit weird but last season was probably the first time I have played for a club and felt really proud to play for a club. I love to play for this club, I love it. I am proper proud to play for Leicester.

Oh, Lloyd.

Yes there is

He's one of the biggest (literally) cult heroes we've had. Most of the time he was awful but occasionally pulled a top performance out of the bag somehow, very cult hero.

Fulop - Fulop's unbeatable. RIP big man

Wasyl - absolute tank, big personality as well. Played his part in the title win too when he had to stand in

Bamba - bombscare but so entertaining to watch, remember him dribbling the ball across his own 6 yard box in a 0-2 against reading

Nisse - for that goal at Preston alone

Berner - intelligent and classy player

Knockaert - signing that signalled change, always gave 100% and had flair. Seemed to care as well, loved the fans

Joey Gudjonsson - scored from the halfway line didn't he

Cambiasso - he's magic you know. What a privilege watching him play, even at the twilight of his career, although he's no cattermole admittedly

Lloyd - seemed to get quicker every year, heroic

Hume - 100% commitment

Howard - that header against Leeds, iconic

Subs: Conrad (who else), Benalouane, Kisnorbo, Lilian Nalis, Levi Porter, Matty Fryatt, Barry Hayles

Mentions to: Ian Walker, Paul Henderson, David Martin, Casino Jimmy, Aleksander Tunchev, Chris Powell, Wayne Brown (shame he turned out to be a ****), Danny Tiatto, Stephen Hughes, Ian Marshall (just before my era), Mark De Vries

I know, he was everywhere  I honestly thought we'd found a gem.  Funny how things work out.  Moreover, I must be older than you if I was at Uni?  Kill me.  X

He’s too good to be a cult hero. He’s in between a cult hero and a legend for me, one of my favourite players.
