Probably not a popular opinion but I've seen enough in the last two games to give Puel a reprieve.

We look really good going forward - let's see what we're like when he's had a chance to buy a defence.

Agreed. After those six torrid games I finally turned on him staying, but these last two made me think...

Is the approach just not working against the teams who sit and spoil? Meaning we get beaten at our own game. So the only way to improve that is to work on a way to supply Vardy with chances, or pull defenders away from him when facing those outside the top six. The front 4/5 we saw today I think can do that, with Silva supplying the creativity to the front four. Diabate also looks vital to our success going forward.

As for the defence...moving on...

Simpson, Wes and Fuchs are done at this level, sad but true. Goodbye Riyad, will never forget the amazing goals and assists you gave us. For me the greatest natural  talent to ever play for us and I  was on the terraces in the days of Worthington and Weller. Jaime Vardy, we would have been relegated without your leadership from the front this season. The guy is a legend.

Bet that dweeb Southgate has him on the bench in the group games and we struggle to get out of the group at the WC. He will probably turn to Vards when it’s too late. Iheanacho ran himself into the ground today  and suddenly he looks like a real talent. Think he will be a nailed on starter next season. Diabete is a real talent, quick feet and a diamond in the rough. Anyone who rates Gray above him doesn’t know football. It’s amazing he’s come out of a short spell in league 2 in France and already looks like he can handle the prem. Yes he runs into trouble but so did Riyad when he first got here, and often still does. This kid has a chance to be a terrific player in the next two years.

In my opinion Puel deserves a chance to have a transfer window and 12 games next season to get things right.

I’m disappointed to have lost that, to score 4 away at Spurs its gutting, even if it was a meaningless end of season game.

But, with this season Now behind us those in charge need to make some rapid decisions. Like, is Puel staying or going!  And if he is staying which frankly I believe he will, there needs to be a cull, and new blood brought in asap!

Can see us going down next season. Can't defend for shit and our best player is on his way.

Not yet for me. If the current squad stays void of Riyad, we would probably win enough games to stay up given the quality of the league. 3 bursts of good form keeps you up pretty much - 15 positive results pretty much does it

In two seasons, if the squad is not improved we will be down.

I am taking today as a positive personally... Only a couple of matches back people were moaning at our lack of attack and goal scoring opportunities and saying that their priority is to be entertained, yet that seems to have been forgotten already. We had played a midweek match and had loads of players out, yet still were competitive against a good side playing at home, who had something to fight for. Providing we buy in players to fill those gaps identified (and we definitely have the cash to do so), I think we can look optimistically into 2018/19.

Hahaha okay, fair point. But it's still not an answer to the problem: we only have one right back.

I thought Choudhury played well in parts, just not when he was one-on-one.

Putting him in that situation, a young midfielder with promise shoe horned in at right back and I thought he really struggled decisions like that can shatter your confidence as a young player if it goes bad. Don’t forget the decision to play Albrighton there got him sent off. I’m sure Choidhury will be a cracking player for us in time to come. He played well against Arsenal last week and Benny did fine against West Ham at RB despite the result.

Complete defensive over-haul required (except Harry) including the appointment of a specialist defensive coach and new goalkeeping coach.  Thank you, Wes and Simmo.

Some fans saying you can't blame Puel for that loss, yes you bloody can because his substitution of Choudhury cost us that game.

Yes, of course he should've left on the injured Simmo.

Then you would've lambasted him for that.

it's a key moment in the game, not the point where you can blame him for that loss.

Some of the goals conceded when Simpson was still on the pitch were lucky or shite defending.

Was it Puel's fault that Simpson couldn't pass properly for their first? Was it Puel's fault that Fuchs diverted Lamela's shot in that was originally going wide?

Was it Puel's fault that Choudhury let Kane step in side and curl one in?

Shoe horned is harsh - he has played there before, he's just not a natural - and neither is Benny. As much as I like him, I personally don't think Benny was great at RB against West Ham, but there we go.

I agree about Albrighton though - he has to play as a RWB if he's there, never a RB.

One of those strange games where we've lost, but I'm not really unhappy. Defensively we were shocking, but offensively that's as good as I have seen us in a long, long time. We could and should have quite a few more. On the basis of today and Arsenal I think Puel deserves some more time and to bring in some of the players he wants. Though why he persists with Morgan I do not know. Simpson I think has played his last game for us too, he's just not good enough any more. Or at least he's going to be mainly on the bench next season.

Some positives over these last few games:

- Silva playing much better. Still makes too many mistakes and a bit lightweight, but he's actually a forward thinking creative player that breaks the lines. He's adding a new dimension to our play. In today's game he linked with Iborra nicely.

- The emergence of Hamza Choudhury. I felt sorry seeing him play at right back today where he had a mare defensively, but he's still a good player and I think is now likely to be involved with the squad for the foreseeable future.

- Ihenacho has looked brilliant the last two games, not just as an individual but as a team player. Shinji will find it hard to get back into the team, and Nahco should be bagging 10-20 goals across all competitions for us next year. That's what he's capable of at least.

- Diabate is really good. He reminds me of Riyad when he first came in where he looked dangerous every time he came on. Still needs a year or two to develop, but think this guy will be an important part of the team.

Look at the bigger picture mate and ask yourself why have we looked good going forward?

It's alright looking good going forward against the likes of Arsenal and Spurs who were both poor defensively, they allowed us the space to play football. When it comes to facing the likes of Stoke, Swansea, Newcastle, West Ham etc... it was an entirely different story, they were defensively organised, sat back, gave us no space and we couldn't break them down, the results against those teams were unacceptable, on the basis of that does he actually deserve a reprieve?

Yes I think that's a fair assessment. Though you could argue that giving youth team players their chance is more important than a one place improvement in the league when 8th wouldn't have got us anything.

I liked the sub, but putting him at Right Back was a mistake. We should have played 3-5-2 instead. But I think it's good to keep bringing Hamza on, though his positioning was shocking, on the ball he was still pretty good. It's important to integrate youth team players and give them a chance.

I take it you won't be going to any games then next season?

Why are you always so negative?

Last 2 games have been very entertaining. It won't be constantly boring even if Puel does stay. Lighten up a little ffs.

no chance, he didn't lighten up when we were winning the league, he was here moaning n droning.
