In his last year here  his definition of creativity was hoof it up to Vardy and hope for the best.

We have enough CMs. I'd rather we try to sign creative foward players.

What would resigning Drinky do to the likes of Choudury and Barnes? Push them back down the pecking order.

Drinky had his time here, I would much rather see Choudury have his time with Barnes in the wings ready to start his senior LCFC career after his West Brom loan.

Hang on a minute? Isn't that a bit of a contradiction?

Deadline day occured with barely so much as a mention that Drinky was on his way out, he rocked up at Chelsea with a couple of hours to go and hung around with his fingers crossed that Chelsea first choice Ross Barkley would walk away from the deal, then he snuck in the back door knowing full well he was being picked up by Chelsea to satisfy the Champions League quota and also knowing they didn't *really* want him, they wanted Barkley. Meanwhile it left us scrambling around to find a replacement in Silva and we all know how that turned out. If anybody left us deep in the shit that window then it was Drinky, not Riyad. Sure, Drinky didn't bitch and whine for a move but then Drinky wasn't a world beater like Riyad, and instead took the option of trying to slip off unseen into the night for absolutely nothing more than a fatter pay cheque. In my view, that is not a dignified exit.

He did succeed in warming the bench for a season and flushing his England career down the toilet though, so fair play to him.

That’s not how it happened mate. Chelsea approached us very early in the transfer window & Drinky told us he wanted out which the owners agreed to but only if their price tag of £35m was met. Chelsea refused to pay that amount & tried to negotiate throughout the window but the owners made it clear that they wouldn’t accept a penny less than the asking price. We had already agreed the Silva deal as a back up but it wasn’t until the afternoon of deadline day that Chelsea finally agreed the £35m fee.

Been offered to palace and 30m for Zaha ?

Even we would struggle to create a deal as bad as that.    31m for Saha?  Now that would be seriously taking Woy's string pants down good and proper.

A loan deal is mooted according to the Mail.

LEICESTER — 9th last season

WHAT’S NEW Rachid Ghezzal has arrived from Monaco, Jonny Evans is a wily addition and eyes will be on stylish James Maddison to see how he adapts to the top flight

WHO THEY WANT Harry Maguire to stay is a priority. Another centre-back — and Danny Drinkwater may make a return on loan from Chelsea

BOOKIES SAY: 300-1 for title — they were 1000-1 when they won it

WE SAY: Talented squad could spring a few surprises

SPENT ►£58m

Players in: 4 Received £75.1m
