Or two holding midfielders rather than just Ndidi.

I’d rather ndidi had a bit more licence to roam forwards. Winning the ball higher up the pitch tbh. I’m not against wingbacks but personally I’d prefer 3 at the back of we are going to use them as our only wide outlet.

I'm Just playing Devils advocate because i don't think Puel will use a back 3. Personally i'd like to see the same as you.

Drinkwater on loan is admitting iborra, silva havent met standards.

Choudury, Barnes remain prospects and King, James just aint good enough.

Have i missed anyone?

Mendy is injured

Ndidi is good enough

But that is, more or less, where we stand.

Not like Chilwell or Ricardo are slow though is it?

It's asking a lot to have them operate as wingbacks in a system where it's critical they are a big chunk of the defence. Need 3 centre backs to let them have the freedom to bomb up front.

Would he be ahead of Maddison, Silva and Iborra for non-DM role? I can't see him fitting in.

Maddison will play number 10.

If he is to come back (unlikely) he’d play in the 2 in front of the back 4.

And he'll be ahead of Silva, Iborra? Seems excessive if we're trying to trim our squad.
