Absolute crap again... if you are being fair though, the defensive side looks better, more organised and we are winning headers from opposition corners... still poor to watch though, in the final 3rd, we seem to run out of ideas (unless the idea is to just pass from side to side)

Love the win today, but we could easily be on 0-2 points at the moment if the other teams had taken their chances, and the reality is, we are talented enough to be challenging for Europe. For the love of god, somebody get this club a motivational speaker or something. Can we bring back Pearson as an assistant? FFS someone needs to get these players going before they go a goal down, they are just so complacent and passive for so much of the game unless we are playing a top-6 side.

Though I am hoping that these wins build their confidence a bit so that they start out more aggressive. Also, hate to say it, but Maddison is going to take some time to adjust to this level, he seems quite easily taken out of games by physicality, and everyone is going to hammer him. Would like to see Ghezzel get a start, really liked that pass into Gray that Hoedt almost put in for us, he had several clever passes, we could use a bit more of that from the outside.

Awful game but if you come out of it with the points I’m not overly bothered. 

 

Maguire was good even before the goal and Mendy is the surprise hit of the season so far. Thought Ghezzal had some nice touches and passes, want to see him start and Ricardo to play full back.
