Big Wes deserves to retain his place, my only concern being the lack of pace at centre back with him and Slab Head. I'd also move Ricardo back, his pace will be valuable against Mané and I just think having him ahead of Amartey holds us back. Just ease him into the starting 11 using the next 3-4 games (if he proves he can start of course). Our fans overreact so much it's frustrating! One game a player is great, the next game he's trash and it's all because of the way we hand opportunities! Just 1 Cup game shouldn't mean that you are ready to start. It doesn't feel natural, it puts players in a stressful situation. Add that to some people holding agendas against certain players and that creats a toxic environment. Let's just take it step by step. He will have his chance to start sooner or later so there is no need to put a player with less than 90 minutes of experience in the prem through the grinder. Gray and Marc should start ahead of him (at least for now). They know how the team works and the shape required (defensively and offensively) far better than him.
