i mean, he's had a blinder there and maybe it'll be his only one (I doubt it) but the amount of people on here who think they know a player before he's even kicked a ball is hilarious. arm-chair scouting at it's best.

 

so far the players people doubted are looking pretty good - ghezzal, ward. the ones people creamed over maybe not so much - ricardo.

He does seem to be a penalty saving specialist having performed similar heroics in a play-off for Huddersfield. Great attribute for a cup keeper, and may actually make the difference between some silverware or none. We've yet to see how he does in open play against proper opposition though, as a keeper can be incredible in one area and a bit dodgy in others (eg Kasper's shot stopping vs defending free kicks)

If only we had him in the cup against Man City last year. Some of those penalties were pretty awful tonight but it’s never easy to save one, fair play to him
