I can understand Puel deciding he isn’t the future, but can’t speak highly enough of Andy King. A fantastic professional, a great lad and I hope when his career is over, he comes back and works at some level within the club.

Legends to me aren’t those that stayed at the club and maintained dignity through hard times. Andy King fits that bill.

Andy King is genuinely one of the nicest blokes.

Albrighton is another in the same mould.

I don't think there is any danger of that.

He was one of few players there today and he's not even playing for us. He's on great terms with the owners.

Aye, i suppose so.

Just the talk of demands and fresh humiliation. It doesn't do well.

Has been an absolute brilliant and loyal player for this club and an outstanding ambassador. However, when he wasn't named in the squad it's a big hint that you're not part of future plans for whatever reason and I think reluctantly we have to agree that from the footballing side of things, he just isn't good enough anymore. I wish him every success but I hardly think he'd have to 'demand' a move, I don't see anyone standing in his way.

Not a single quote so the language is not necessarily his.

Andy King is set to demand a move away from Leicester in January after suffering another first-team snub.

King, a Premier League title winner and Leicester's longest-serving player, is set to bring an end to his 14-year association with the club when the transfer window reopens next year.

The Wales international has been left out of Leicester's 25-man squad for the league this season and suffered fresh humiliation on Tuesday after Claude Puel failed to pick him for the Carabao Cup tie against Southampton.

King was not even named in the squad and Puel opted to give South African winger Khanya Leshabela, 19, a place on the bench for the first time.

King has proven a key figure in recent Leicester history, playing a major role when the club won the title under Claudio Ranieri, but is now ready to reluctantly bring the curtain down on his time at the King Power Stadium.

The 30-year-old midfielder has just under 18 months left on his current deal.

After Leicester's win over Southampton on penalties, Puel said: "We have a lot of players in the squad and I cannot give time to all of them.

"I’m sorry for them but I try to manage all the things with right solution. We have a lot of midfielders."

King is due a testimonial after making his first-team debut in October 2007. He has made 378 appearances for the club, scoring 62 goals since joining Leicester at the age of 15.

When Leicester won the league in 2016 he became the first player in the Premier League era to win the top three divisions with the same club.

The thing that annoys me, are the “legends” that suddenly turn up after not being around for years. Or those that we want a statue of, yet have never bothered with us.

I know AK may well of stayed as it was always his best option, but as you say, he is genuinely a very decent person.

Think I've said this before but as much a I'm a backer of Puel, him not including King in the registered squad but having Matty James in there is/was a massive travesty. Didn't make sense at all and only points towards Puel not liking him.

Wherever King goes next I wish him all the best. No one ever has a bad word to say about him which speaks volumes and in some ways he's the ultimate professional and I'll always have the utmost respect for him.

Demands a move!!!  ha ha bit of a sensationalist headline . He was told in the summer he had no future here and he won’t get game time  and he didn’t leave . So I’m sure it still stands in January . Sad to see him go but this is just a case of a newspapers poor story

Still think he offers as much Silva and Iborra.

To to be fair, I can see us off loading all three if possible.

Too many good but not good enough players ...   get Danny Dishwater back on the cheap and Shelvey.   I know some will say they are good but not good enough as well ...    but I disagree.
