We haven’t a clue what goes on behind the scenes. Perhaps his stint in Monaco did him the world of good.Time will tell. one thing is,you back your players when they are on the pitch. Slagging any player off in a Leicester shirt whilst they are playing is hardly going to help them or the team, quite the opposite. ( not aimed at you btw.Just in general) Personally I think it's too little far too late and his time is up for a variety of reasons BUT ... I do agree with you 100% on one thing. When the manager, whoever it is, picks a player to represent him and our team, we are firstly unaware of the reasoning behind that selection or what intructions that player has been given to follow. It can never be constructive to boo a player coming onto the field of play, it is churlish, childish and ignorant imo. I for example am not Iheanacho's biggest fan and have been very critical of him but, when he crosses the white line, Rodgers has introduced him for a reason. Likewise, whether Rodgers does or does not pick Silva to play would be based on his professional knowledge and view of him having seen him train everyday. Therefore, despite any of my personal opinions regarding Silva, should he be chosen to play in the first match, regardless of those opinions, I will be one of the first to stand up, clap in encouragement and wish him all the best. That for me is how a supporter should behave. The only place for booing imo is on the very rare occasion that the crowd as one believes strongly that their team doesn't care and hasn't put any real effort in. I doubt we'll be seeing any of that under Rodgers. 6

So as much as you "feel" that his involvement was negligible because he had Ronaldo to grab the glory, it was a team effort without Ronaldo. Yes saw and realise that but they had to get there. Though personally I have to say that I felt that the Championships in general were overhyped, a bit of a flop and not of good quality.

They had to get there yes, but the hard work of winning the final to be champions took a team effort and not on the shoulders of 1 superstar. Argentina have that problem with Messi. And as bad as Euro 2016 was... Nothing compared to the shithouse win of Greece in 2004.

Ric Flair Posted 25 July 2019 Share Posted 25 July 2019 Distinct lack of interest for Silva, you'd think his agent would be very vocal in the press if there were. I thought Bordeaux would have come in for him but no doubt it'll be some Turkish club or Sporting who want us to cover 75% of his wages.

Yeah, as soon as England went out to winker Ronaldo and Portugal, I too went and supported Greece because of Theo... And they won it! That was a nice small revenge.

All assumed he'd be going to France this summer, maybe as part of the Youri deal. Unless BR has seen something in him and wants to try him out? Silva is neither a DM or an AM but can't see how he'd have any role here if we signed one more and that's even if we flog Mendy as well.

But god knows. Hopefully whatever happens, Silva gets played either here or at a different club

This guy needs urgently packing off to China or Saudi or Celtic or anywhere except LCFC premises. Not really as simple as just packing him off somewhere though is it given Leicester are probably paying him a weekly wage not many other teams could get close to.
