Some actual ITK information here! Not sure if this has been publicly announced or even rumoured anywhere yet - but Patrick Kisnorbo, current Melbourne City manager is moving to Troyes Fc in Ligue One.
Massive move for him and well deserved.

He was rumoured to be close to getting the Sunderland job earlier in the season. Not sure how true that is?

Not sure about that one, haven’t heard anything, but this deal with Troyes is all but done and should be announced very soon, as long as there are no last minute hiccups

Kasper Schmeichel

‘A haunted season’. It’s an ominous headline to be pictured next to at any point in a career, never mind one month into a contract with a new club. That was the case for Kasper Schmeichel at Nice, with L’Equipe not swerving away from a brutal assessment of the Dane’s start to life on the French Riviera.

A month later, accusations over his conduct were being thrown around in the French media, with all signs pointing to a January exit. His manager Lucien Favre appeared unconvinced, and on five occasions across Ligue 1 and the Europa Conference League he has dropped Schmeichel for Polish back-up Marcin Bulka.

However, Bulka dislocated his shoulder in October, meaning Schmeichel had to play. Since then, he's done well, and his performances have been credited as a significant part in Nice's turnaround, with a run of six games unbeaten before the World Cup moving them from 13th to ninth, increasing their cushion to the relegation places from one point to seven.

Wesley Fofana

Two games after his £70m move, Wesley Fofana’s manager Thomas Tuchel was sacked. Two games after that, he injured his knee, ending any hopes of him getting a place in France's World Cup squad. His most notable performances have come in the Champions League, a surprise loss to Dinamo Zagreb in which he was outpaced for the winning goal, and a victory over AC Milan, in which he scored.

While he's not played since early October, the good news for Fofana is that Graham Potter's preference for a back three means he will not have to play second fiddle to Thiago Silva and Kalidou Koulibaly, and should return straight to their 11 once he is fit. He will hope to help Chelsea improve their form after a run of five Premier League matches without victory before the World Cup.

Callum Wright

After a quiet transfer window in which City made just one outfield signing, there had been hopes among some supporters that it might mean the club gave Callum Wright a chance. He would be a wildcard option, but he had done well on loan in League One and had impressed in his pre-season outings.

So for those supporters, it was a blow on deadline-day night when it was announced that Wright had been sold to Championship side Blackpool. But, he's yet to really show the talent he has.
He was given a run of starts in October against Norwich, Sunderland, and Watford after Tangerines boss Michael Appleton, the former City assistant, backed him "to be one that takes his opportunity" and get his team firing. But Wright's still not got a goal or an assist in nine outings for Blackpool, and he's been in and out of the side of late.

Eldin Jakupovic

A member of City’s goalkeeping unit for the past five years, veteran shot-stopper Eldin Jakupovic was released in the summer at the end of his contract. He was without a club for a couple of months, but then popped up at Everton when they suffered a goalkeeping injury crisis.

Signing a short-term deal, it looked like 38-year-old Jakupovic was going to be thrown straight in with Jordan Pickford and Asmir Begovic struggling, but the latter recovered to start in a 1-0 win over West Ham, with the former City man playing deputy on the bench. Since then, he's not been in a Toffees matchday squad.

Vontae Daley-Campbell

Vontae Daley-Campbell was able to make three first-team appearances for City because he had the physicality to cope with the senior game. Where there were question marks was how he used that physicality sometimes.

For both the development squad and during his loan spell with Dundee, the right-back was sent off for reckless tackles. So it was perhaps not a surprise when on his Cardiff debut, he received a straight red card for a desperate lunge.

Since that 3-0 Carabao Cup defeat to Portsmouth, he has only played once more for the Bluebirds, a 1-0 loss to Coventry. He has only been in the matchday squad for two of their 21 Championship games.

Tyrese Shade

Winger Tyrese Shade impressed enough on loan at Walsall last season that he was picked up by a League Two rival in Swindon after his release by City. He's been a pretty consistent fixture in the Robins line-up.

He’s started 11 matches in all competitions, and been a substitute in 12, only missing out for two of their fixtures. He's managed to grab a couple of goals too, in wins over Sutton United and Colchester, to help put Swindon in the battle for the League Two play-off places.

Jake Wakeling

Joining Shade at Swindon was fellow released City forward Jake Wakeling. Picked up from non-league, Wakeling spent two seasons contracted at City, with the second half of the latter at those on loan at Barrow in League Two.

Despite that loan not working out, with Wakeling calling it the “most challenging” season of his career, the 21-year-old has made a fantastic start with the Robins. After 20 appearances, the striker already has five goals and five assists to his name, meaning he has been involved in 42 per cent of Swindon's League Two goals this season.

I like his suggestion here:

Great work by Danny there. The emphasis on community, purpose and routine is very often overlooked but hugely important.

I briefly worked with people going through hard times. They often needed material thing like housing, jobs etc. But they often couldn’t keep them even if they had them because they didn’t have less talked about things to keep them mentally healthy—like community, group activities, routine, mentally healthy friends.

Obviously footballers are, generally, hugely well off but they’ll still suffer mentally from a lack of routine, community, group activities and the rest when out of a job.

Andy King played another full match at Centre Back for Bristol City in a 3-1 win at Rotherham.

Am quite surprised with that.

One would imagine that he didn't have the physique to perform such a role; but fair play to him.

Just got in from the Rotherham game. Great to watch Kingy and Matty James again and Sir Nige gracing the technical area. Another Leicester old boy in Lee Peltier was there, but it would be generous to say he ‘played’ today.

As for King not having the physique I think any player could have competed against that Rotherham front line they were awful. Great from the sponsors to name their man of the match the player who went off at 50 mins lol

^ Paul Merson or someone says what Izzet is blithering on about above and he gets lambasted on here. What point is he trying to make?

Just praying he stays Merse and doesn't go full Le Tissier.

These old pros do sound really outdated, to be honest. Some of the teams he played in were tough watches too.

"Back in my day, we called it hard work!"

They seem shocked that football and it's language just...evolves? Like it has done since the game was invented? Izzet just comes across a bit bitter there really for no discernable reason.

I’m with Muzzy on every word here, in-particularly the first bit regarding terminology, language, 11 v 11, playing to your strengths and football being a hard watch nowadays.

There are probably terms he used which were new at the time that he now thinks are normal so its a bit hypocritical to slate new terms now.

Think they play 3 centre backs, so he’s definitely got the attributes to play as a centre half in that formation. Especially if he lets the other two pick up and he drops off

Weird how an attacking midfielder can have the attributes to play as a CB in a back 3 but the Rodgers & match day threads tell me that actual CBs such as Cags (& even John Terry) can’t play in a 3 and it’s all Rodgers fault for playing Cags out of position 😂

An observation of those threads not your thoughts TJB as it dumbfounded me that a LB in a 2 can’t play as a LB in a 3

An attacking midfielder can't play centre back, lets be honest. Bristol City are 16th in the Championship and have conceded more goals than Rotherham, Cardiff, WBA, Huddersfield. The latter two are currently in the bottom three.

I don't think their defence is something to look at or compare.

Ex Academy

Former England Under 18 goalkeeper Oliver Bosworth has joined Mickleover as cover for first-team keeper Jonathan Hedge.

A former Leicester City Junior, he has also played in Spain with CD Almunecar and signed for Sports after a successful trial, making his debut in the Derbyshire Senior Cup at Long Eaton Utd.
