No you're not. Neither am I apparently. You have to provide evidence based facts, those are the rules.

Opinions are fine - but they should be informed, subject to self-criticism and should not supplant for demonstrable fact.

Plenty of people have made arguments for most of the above before, not that I particularly agree with it but I’m not dead against it either.

If you abuse your privilege of life, why the hell should I contribute to saving you?

Because if you got knocked off your bike and was dying the street and then a fat chap, stubbed his fag out finished his can of Stella off and then  came over and gave you the kiss off life, would you refuse.

Line X is a very clever, albeit very patronising, fella.

But all of his preaching and kow towing to SAGE seemingly hasn't stopped his entire family being riddled with covid (and presumably they've  infected dozens more too)

Meanwhile covid free bozos who rely on common sense, good manners and hand hygiene are berated by him 😉

No one is stopping anyone ftom having an opinion.  But in all walks of life we should expect to have our views challenged.  You and a few others don't like that though do you.

You've left it very late but that's a genuine contender for the most stupid post of the year.

No I know you didn't - my comment wasn't aimed at you, rather those that you suggested would be less inclined to take it.

To clarify, your claim that the vaccine won't stop either variant is untrue. It can drive down delta and my point more related to the fact that those without the vaccine replicate the virus quicker and which therefore increases the possibility of mutations thus leading to future variants.

Regarding your suggestion that the booster won't stop the spread of omicron, you may well be correct because as I said it is derived form the original vaccination which was developed around alpha. However, it is likely to have some effect however limited, if only in the possibility of reducing viral load.

Thanks for clarifying.

I have no intention of patronising you. It really shouldn't b necessary.

What "preaching" would that be? I've continually posted to the effect of how contagious this variant is and as a result urged people to adhere to preventative measures. Don't attempt to weaponise the fact that members of my family around the country and in London have succumbed to it. That's pathetic and desperate even for you. That so many in my family have contracted it was inevitable. I genuinely hope that those close to you avoid it. Three of them are school teachers. SAGE have been warning about precisely this. As I said, this is so ridiculously infectious it is virtually unavoidable in many workplaces.

What I can tell you is that they will have been exercising every possible precaution not to infect others and due to their vigilance with testing as opposed to some of the nonchalance that we've heard about on this thread, they have minimised the risk to others.

The fatties and drunks pay taxes too, arguably more than you as the unhealthy food they eat and the alcohol they drink are heavily taxed.

Didn’t see my tax return this year then!!!! And yes point taken but the sin taxes on those 3l bottles of white lightning are not going to pay for a liver transplant and a lifetime of ongoing specialist care

It's pretty obvious that BJ is reluctant to lock down before Christmas as he has lost enough voters. It would kill him off. Although he is now facing relentless pressure to do so.

He’s gonna walk, the bloke looks worn out and fed up with all the shit. I genuinely think he’s got good intentions and wants to do his best for the country but he’s being hung out to dry by his party. They only wanted him as leader because the British public can relate to him, now it’s all going tits up, the vultures are circling
