Not sure, not seen enough of him. But they would play Laccazette or Nketiah over Nacho. No chance, wouldn't fit Wilders requirements of putting a shift in. Calvert Lewin that has scored 13 PL goals this season? If Vardy was injured you'd rather have Nacho up top on he's on rather the CL? I teel you know if we put Nacho up for sale for a fair price not one of those clubs would want him...... Fair enough mate, football is a game of opinions afterall. We do still need to sign some attackers, think Brendan said a winger and a striker. But we also need strength in depth, so it feels like a strange decision to sell a good squad player especially with the fixture congestion if we get into Europe. Black Posted 14 July 2020 Author Share Posted 14 July 2020 he currently has 20 goals and 12 assists in 87 – despite starting just 41 of those. This season, he is beginning to show how good he can be, and if he is made first choice at a club like Newcastle, he would thrive.
Grebfromgrebland Posted 14 July 2020 Share Posted 14 July 2020 We need to keep him we have no depth in the squad as it is
brucey Posted 14 July 2020 Share Posted 14 July 2020 Keep if we get Europe. He'll still have reasonable value next summer with 1 year on his contract.

The difference in opinions is what makes football great, I agree with you he's a decent squad player. But we need a quality winger and striker, given our average net spend is 20 million, we are going to have to generate some income as it look likely there will be no CL money. I'd listen to offers for both Nacho and Gray, we have been saying they both have potential for 3 years, I think we have given them both enough time to come good, under 4 different managers! Popular Post filbertway Posted 14 July 2020 Popular Post Share Posted 14 July 2020 (edited) We should be offering him a new contract and telling him he'll be the top boy by the end of next season. Just reminds me of Kramaric, he's criminally underrated by the manager and the fan base and if we don't give him a fair crack it'll just be another regret. Only, this time we're giving away a player that suits the way we play a lot better than Vardy does. Edited 14 July 2020 by filbertway
Leicester_Loyal Posted 14 July 2020 Share Posted 14 July 2020 Again, pretty pointles counting Iheanachos 5 minutes on the pitch as a game. Compare it via minutes played or full appearences only.
Black Posted 14 July 2020 Author Share Posted 14 July 2020 Iheanacho needs somwhere where he can score regularly. To have netted 10 in 24 in the shadow of Vardy is quite impressive and If he is given the gauntlet to spearhead Newcastle’s attack, he could really up his goal rate –As he really knows where the goal is. We've worked hard to get him up to the required standard. He now looks like he has sharpened his game and since lock down has looked one of our better performers. Will score 20 goals a season given the opportunity.
Mickyblueeyes Posted 15 July 2020 Share Posted 15 July 2020 Selling Kelechi would be a mistake for us. He is still very young in footballing terms and has shown this season what sort of quality he has or potential quality. He can and will be an asset for us. Keep him please. Strokes Posted 15 July 2020 Share Posted 15 July 2020 I like him, we have to play differently with him up top but he is worth persisting with in my opinion. His resale value won’t be enough to make it an appealing deal.
Nick Posted 15 July 2020 Share Posted 15 July 2020 Good with the ball at feet in motion but first touch let’s him down just like Barnes.

Buzzell Posted 15 July 2020 Share Posted 15 July 2020 I would actually prefer us to give him a good run in the side to see what he’s really like.

Yeh but has he really had a good run in the side to prove himself? To me under Rodgers it looked like he turned a corner and actually look very useful. JJD_LCFC Posted 15 July 2020 Share Posted 15 July 2020 Personally would keep him. He is a very good finisher if we can get the ball to him. His first touch and hold up play under pressure is not the best admittedly, but as a finisher he is very useful to have. Every time he plays he always seems to create or have shots on goal. I certainly would not sell him before a season in Europe with all the extra games.

Sampson Posted 15 July 2020 Share Posted 15 July 2020 Don't blame him for wanting to be starter elsewhere. He's toogood to be sat on the bench, just a shame Vardy is here from his perspective.
