Calling a spade a spade, he was poor tonight. Dont know whether the best approach is, to keep playing him until he finds form or give him a break in the next couple of games?

He seems in danger of becoming a bitbof a villain with our fans which shouldn't be the case at all. He's been head and shoulders above most players over the past few years and gave us one of our biggest moments in our history. Let's not give up on him!

Just now, Le Renard said:

He's driving his price down for his summer transfer, I can't believe clubs will be looking at him this season and spend £40-£50 million on him.

Well if rumours are true he's being listed for £25m and I think someone will come in for him, he's a legend for scoring that goal but I don't think we'll have an issue moving on, I'd be more disappointed if we lose madders

Guest Col city fan

He can make these dreadful bloody passes and STILL look one of the most talented players on the pitch

When he goes this summer (I’m not jumping on the usual FT bandwagon) we’ll miss Tielemans big time

Watch this space, and be careful what you wish for

No doubt! When great he is world class, just it is clear he isn’t on it. With Dewsbury-Hall coming through and Maddison showing his ability, I’m less concerned about him going than I was a few months back.

Should be pointed out he never plays well in that holding midfielder position. (Not that it excuses the way he gave the ball away like he did.) Do you bring Choudhury in for the semi though?

He is not a holding midfield player and fair play to him for  being willing  to  play that role in the two matches. He has always been prone to a loose pass(amongst all the fine creative ones) but in your own half that has greater consequences,as was shown tonight. It was almost like he was in no mans land with his attacking instincts shackled.

Bit of an oxymoran though. No world class player is anywhere near as inconsistent or streaky as Tielemans, by definition you need to have a certain level of consistency to be world class, not be world class "at your best".

Reminds me a bit of Robbie Savage's "in my best games I was world class" comment.

Never like to slag off players, but that pass to gift them the goal tonight was a total lack of focus/awareness whatever you want to call it. He did it again later on further up the pitch but we got lucky this time.

I love Tielemans but he was disappointing tonight.

Sure he brought us the FA Cup, yet we need him to emulate something of what KDH is bringing to the team.

....he really does not need to emulate KDH, he just need to make better choices and be smarter in decisions that he makes!!!

We do not need another KDH, we need someone creative you reads the game and with the ability to pick out runners and have the land in their path at any given time. His lack of stamina should have been picked up and he needs to play in a way to compensate for that shortfall in his game.

He gives the ball away a lot, is it down to focus or the change of technique when he doesn't have to punch the pass to a colleague. You do not have this talent and not be able to make simple passes, he probably had this problem all his life, he needs to address it, perhaps go to a specialist and film him passing with different strengths and slow it down to see exactly what he does when he takes the power off the pass, it might just surprise him as to what he is doing in that moment.

Yeah. I was so frustrated at his give away pass tonight. I think he's trying too hard to prove himself. He sure needs to look back over his poor performances and at the things he's done so well alongside an individual coach to explain his errors as well as big up his often exceptional play. He's not a confident footballer at the moment. He needs someone or something to help him believe in himself.

If you asked someone who didn't have a clue who he was and the question was which of the current crop of midfield players looks as though they've got the ability to be top quality on the day, they'd pick KDH over Tielemans every time.

It's clear he doesn't want to be here, mentally he's been off it all season and it has affected his on field performances so much so that we're carrying him at times.

Just seen this. No idea if it's genuine but it wouldn't surprise anyone.

spurs with a 10 mill bid maybe? Lol

Cant see him going there might as well stick it out at a club that wins things instead of always being a bridesmaid. ;)
