Him and maddo are the same player. It don't work. We know that, Smith needs to understand this also

They aren't the same. I would pick Maddo > Tieleman any day. He's a player with weak af mentality, and horrible to watch once it's not his day (which is more often than not).

Lot's of folk post about missing him when he's gone, which would have been true previously but this year bar the worldie goals he's been as bad as the rest of them.

He often looks the worst of the lot

He’s been running through tar for the past 2 years. He’s not good enough for this league any more.

Persisting with him when he’s so easy to play through is one of the reasons we are in the mess we are in now. Been dining out on that FA Cup goal for far too long.

A sensible team would have shipped him out last summer when it was clear he wasn't signing his new contract, astonishing he wears the armband.

Think he will struggle at a "bigger" club. Just doesn't have the speed or energy to do it week in, week out. Often guilty of a big mistake too.

Can see him ending up somewhere towards the top end of the Premier League, but quickly being found out and staying on the bench most weeks.

Love him for that FA Cup winning goal, but happy to see him go.

When he was sat on the bench he looked like he was going to cry. It could be that he’s realised he’s playing well below his former levels and can’t find a way get back to them (like Ndidi.) His dream moves to a big club will surely have evaporated after what has been an overall a poor season by his standards.

If he thinks hes getting a move to a top club then hes living in dream world 🤣. Will never get a contract like the one we offered him the other year. He cannot cut it in England anymore, he doesnt have the legs or energy for it. Italy at best

Maybe he's peaked as a player, he is young, yes but remember he was in Anderlecht's first team as a teenager, remember how Rooney fell off a cliff.
