After that, for 18 months or so, he was inconsistent but often instrumental and capable of brilliance. Since then, for what adds up to almost half of his time here, he's been mostly awful, and evidently identified by opposition as something of a midfield stroller. 'If you rattle him, he's a liability'. He's been poor in well over half of his games for us. He also seems to be unfit and completely half-arsed in pretty much everything he does. He has a very good loan spell for about 9 or 10 games. Then when we signed him: It was pretty widely agreed he had a disappointing season in 19/20 and was one of the weakest links in our XI at the time. I remember “Tiemans on loan, Tielemans after signing him” memes doing the rounds that season.
