mate the same was true of Mahrez most of the time yet he was hero worshipped, Madders contributes a goal and or an assist then you can live with him not doing much in general play

Not sure he was AWOL - maybe did not influence but the whole team was off it and he worked hard plus you will see he was fouled repeatedly.

He is getting there slowly and we need to get behind him….personally not fan of his off the pitch but when crosses that line in a blue shirt let’s get behind him!

Got his swagger back.  Completely different player last few games.

And this is why you have to persevere with players as talented as Maddison, even through all the guff performances. Him playing well not only benefits the club on the pitch, but also in terms any potential transfer fee the club might one day receive (hopefully not for a bit though).

Almost feel bad asking this given his recent form and the positivity that brings, but when did he last do an interview? Only seems to come out when we win and he gets a goal.

Its great seeing him back in form, but also want to see him front up in future when he's not been on it (which he hasn't been too often of late).

He was great first half in stages. I particularly enjoyed the fact that he tried a number of times to stay on his feet.

My biggest criticism of him is that he’ll regularly be thinking more about his ‘most fouled’ or ‘most chances created’ stats than actually making the right decision on a football pitch: it can be so frustrating sometimes! But today he took some risks (that didn’t come off most of the time!) and it was great to see.

More of the same please

I’ve always enjoyed his interviews, they’re very different to the typical responses that we normally get. It’s a shame it’s in contrast to the rumours we hear as I find him very likeable when on the mic.

Fingers crossed he can carry on the upward curve. If he’s performing well and happy with himself then that can only be good for the club and us!

When did you last see any out of form player interviewed?

He'll only be sought out for interviews when he's done well and made a contribution, same as any other player.

An endearing interview. Honesty, sincerity and humility. Such rare qualities in this increasingly bullshit world.

Power to you, young man, and well played this week. An assist against Spartak and a goal today. I sense the corner has well and truly been turned.
