Sorry to dig you out dude but really, this self deprecating 'little' shite does my head in. And we wonder why players leave us when even our own support consider us contemporaries of Cheltenham or Fleetwood or Newport

When I say we are a  little club, I mean it in a good way. Sorry you are offended but to me big clubs are owned by sovereign dictator states or Americans trying to make a quick profit. In my humble opinion we are little Leicester City who went into administration and also got relegated to the third tier of English football who won the top 3 titles of the national leagues before winning the FA cup and getting to the quarterfinals of the Champions League. If you think that we are big club - good for you.

lol I’m sorry but Southgate is right up there with Rodgers with spinning a story

This is what Southgate said when he picked Maddison for the squad immediately following the casino visit:

"He's only been in a few squads, he had to go home ill last time," Southgate told a news conference.

"The important thing is that there was some suggestion he decided to go home, [but] we sent him home, he was ill. Any suggestion that he chose to go home because he wanted to go out is unfair.

"Now he will realise, as an England player, there is a different profile. I'm afraid, in the modern world, everybody has a camera phone, [and someone has] seen the chance to make some money by getting pictures.

"That's a part of life we all have to deal with, living in the public eye. We're supporting him because we picked him - now he's got to come into the squad and fight for his place with everyone else."

He clearly did not regard it as a big deal at the time, as evidenced by the fact that he gave him his debut a month later.

Ffs. I despair. We've never, ever been little. We are one of the top 25 clubs in the country, consistently, for nigh on 80 years. More recently we have developed into perhaps the 8th - 15th biggest club in every.metric,; supporters, turnover, trophies, social media, profile

How on earth can you use the adjective 'little'?

Lets not get carried away. Theres no way southgate plays him ahead of foden grealish mount or saka. Hes just done it not to get shit.

Somebody on Talksport was explaining how the reason Foden plays better for Man city is because the Man city team is better than the England team, I thought hmmm, these England players are playing in bigger teams than Leicester and supposed to be better, surely by that metric Maddison would be even better in the England team, as he's around better players than at club level.
