Pretty awful tournament IMO . Too much time spent with reducing the latter stages to countries who actually play the game  and then no slack allowed for a reserve day in the semi final . Half empty stadia and crap weather , should have played it in England

I guess we did lose to the Aussies, South Africa (albeit narrowly) and India which  maybe shows where we really are.

I listened to the game as i did a (7 hour - ouch) drive down to Leicester.

 

The radio commentators did criticise some of England's play but they emphasised how well India played and how they have consistently hit high levels all tournament.

 

England deffo haven't done that.

The semis and scheduling has been dreadful, but the format's about right for where world cricket is right now.

I know , that was my point , who knew the weather in the Caribbean and US was so unreliable for a cricket tournament . No better than UK but at least most of the venues would have been better attended
