Another point about the legacy factor on the 100 - I asked the chairmen of a club had the 100 improved participation? Said no difference at all. While the Summer Holidays work great for getting crowds in, the youth teams are drawing their seasons to a close.

I like a lot of your points normally, but this one is a bit off isn't it.

There's no way any chairman will be able to judge participation increases until the cycle after this years hundred... of course people aren't going to sign up for a new club at the end of August.

Ask him again when winter nets start...

Floodlights basically, according to the club.

Ah, makes sense. Must be a real bugger not having your home quarter-final in front of your own fans really, playing 90 miles away. Imagine we couldn't use Grace Road and had to play at Lords or Chelmsford.

Yeah, they still had a decent and quite load crowd in to be fair, especially towards the end. Messed it up at the end though.

In Jan/Feb, when it's the middle of the football season and cricket is only in the minds of people who already watch/play it. If kids are enthused they'll be wanting to get involved now.

No-one will be talking about The Hundred in a few weeks until it starts again next year.

Loved Khan's cameo at the end. Excites with the bat as much as with the ball!

Exactly.

England players should take a leaf out of his book.

Get the Flintoff spirit back!

They roughed up Jimmy. We tried to respond and it failed which wound them up even more. They then gave it back to us ...and some. We can't even sledge/intimidate properly.

What the fvck are we going to do when Jimmy calls time?

Always hard to process, I've thought it a lot, but Robinson is excellent, Mahmood will be good too and the young lad Garton is rapid if Archer's limbs keep failing him.

It won't be the same of course, not sure we'll see his style of bowling again it's so unique... but I think we've got some excellent prospects.
