Seb DQ'd for what, the shirt thing?

Looks like it’s for not having enough fuel left at the finish. A stupid regulation IMO.

To be honest, I just hope the last two races don’t lead to a procession for Hamilton, psychologically Verstappen must be shattered given how many points he’s lost of no point of his own (even tho he’s an idiot).

apparently a lot of cars were told to pit at the restart, in breach of the rules, this could be interesting, Mercedes would have a very valid claim that it cost them the win

If they complain on this then things could get really interesting.

Didn't Perez run out at Baku? Vettels luck is disgraceful 😔

Fascinating race, great for Ocon and as Toto Wolff said, it's good for the sport to have a podium like that.

As for Hamilton, to come back from 14th and dead last to finish 3rd on the hardest track to overtake on after Monaco is immense.

A horrible couple of races for Red Bull though.  No idea who has the superior package at the moment.

Watching highlights now, billy monger **** off. But yeah, whos flopped harder than Danny Ric in recent years, he's just been mugged by half a car man

Ricciardo needs to be careful.  Just get the feeling something needs to happen for him soon or his F1 career could begin to slip away.  He still has a good reputation but he is massively underperforming in a handy car at the moment.

He's got a good enough brand to stay on the grid as long as he wants tbh, him dipping from Redbull is probably going to be his biggest regret though

His car was damaged at the start.

They have to take a sample of the fuel to analyse after the race.  So there has to be a regulation for a certain amount to be in the car come the end. Rules is rules …..could happen to any of them …..

I get that but what can they seen in 1 litre of fuel that they can’t see in 0.4 of a litre

Aston Martin are saying that the car actually had 1.4 litres left and the problem is actually they couldn’t get it out of the fuel tank so they’re gonna appeal it.

Starting to think as well that perhaps Lewis might call it a day after this season - he signed a new deal earlier on I believe for a few more years though? So it could be complicated to extract himself from that, he just looked proper done in after the race today, he’s believing it might be a long Covid type thing but no doubt the last few weeks have been quite intense both emotionally and physically for him.

there has to be a qty set down in the rules.  I expect they decided on a litre because it avoids the problem we have here where they can’t get it out, even though it’s there ! in this case it’s apparently 1.4 litres but they can’t extract it !

He says it’s the after effects of covid from last December. Another highly trained athlete who is suffering.  of course having signed a new deal with Mercedes, if he is judged to be medically unable to meet the standards needed in an F1 driver, I wonder where that leaves the two parties ….. Mercedes must know about his issues ……you would think they would have covered that base in the contract and perhaps that’s what held it all up …….no insurance co will want to know.

The long covid thing really is a religion
