Yeah he did well, think having to start on the softs might scupper him in the race though.

I'd just got in from football still seething as Q2 was ending so missed what tyres they got through on. Yeah that'll probably hurt them, especially with the degradation were expecting tomorrow

Something to do with ignoring the yellows when Gasly had stopped on the pit straight.

This is getting silly now, no notifications on screen for fans, commentary said there was no yellows in sector 3, it took 3 hours for the announcement to come out, Max has got to visit the stewards 4 hours before the race start with a decision coming after that 

surely this is a simple decision, it doesn’t matter what Max says to the stewards he either has or hasn’t

we already know based on the past the punishment is a 3 place drop so there is no need to drag this out

Just seen his appointment is 3 hours 15 mins before the race which is even worse, the system was clearly not working if all these drivers have been caught as it lights up on the steering wheel if there is a yellow flag

It seems that the only people who lifted for the yellow flags were Alonso and Vettel, pretty much everyone else who finished top 10 could end up getting called up by the Stewards

What do you mean again? He smashes it in qualifying, Hamilton has the better engine too, 3rd is probably better here as well to get the toe from Hamilton

Red Bull were pushing to get Hamilton a grid drop until 30mins before the race in Austria last year so they'll live with a bit of uncertainty.

 

Also pretty sure Sky said there were yellows in sector 3, although it did disappear and then return

No yellows appeared on the system or steering wheel, the on track display board was actually flashing green on the right hand side of the track and a solo Marshall was waving yellow flags on the left hand side of the track 

 

 

Regardless who it involves I did comment on another post about Bottas as well 

stuff like this is should be simple,


was there yellow flags? Yes.

did the driver lift sufficiently and abandon their lap? No. 

Past history shows that 3 grid penalty drop have been awarded 


Also will it matter what the driver says in this situation past history points to no
