he's wank at his job. that's all most people care about.

Imagine being wank at a job but being in it for over 10 years lol Of course you’re entitled to your opinion.

A lot of people don't like Stringer because Pearson didn't like him. Pearson is like Tony Sopranos around here.

Im not a Pearson fan boy but Stringer just grated on me. He might be a nice guy off air but I can only judge him on what I hear.

idiotic stuff like this happens all the time. i remember around this time last year when southampton were doing well people were rimming hassenhuttl lol

wait till brighton lose 2 or 3 in a row, and people will soon change their mind on potter.

This. No more tongues up the rears of Dean Smith or Bielsa.  They have been found it.

Nice when you can make up stuff.

What? Have you never heard the comments to which I refer? He comes out with them every time he is on air. Didn't realize a post defending Owen P A would hit such a raw nerve with the Stringer fan club.

the guy he replaced was truly awful and kept his job for years, its local radio commentary they don't sack people for being shit or they may not get someone.

With Stringer it does seem at times he is trying too much to be a character with his commentary when he's being serious, especially with his reporting, he is very good

“Most fake social media followers, you’ll never sing that!!”

https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league-instagram-followers-fake-25435495

“But according to research from Sortlist, around 30 per cent of both clubs' respective followers contain 'suspicious users' likely to be fake.

For Leicester, it works out as a staggering 1,856,000 fake accounts (32 per cent) on their Instagram account, while West Ham are said to have 540,000 (30 per cent).”

https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/38559-alan-nixon-breaks-silence-on-american-billionaire-bid/page/43/ Getting a mention by some Derby fans who must look at Leicester and think 'what might have been'. The club has gone from one crisis to another over the last few years and instead of looking inwardly they seem to be finger pointing to justify the current state of the club.

On a random one they have angry reacts on their forum, imagine how often that would be used on here, especially the match thread.

I’d suggest that if he was better at his job he’d have been promoted / moved on to bigger things.

The fact he hasn’t would support how bad he is. Or listening to his self absorbed drivel.

It's the BBC, you don't go onto bigger and better things unless your face fits or you're part of Saville row.

he filled in once for 5Live as a reporter for a Derby game, if they had liked him they would have taken him, they took Charles Dagnall from RL to Test Match Special as he was great at his job

Exactly. Local radio is a nursery for aspiring broadcasters. Darren Fletcher, Arlo White, Manish Bhasin all spring to mind. And as someine else says,  Charles Dagnall

if I was a betting man, I reckon he'll have been spamming R5 for years with applications

He prob avoids talksport like the plague, as I presume the wages are shite compared to the beeb, no gold plated pension,  no months off on the sick, no generous unpaid leave for marathon running and, as he'd gave to be self employed there, he'd be dropped like a hot stone if he got rumbled

Depressing that some posters there are sharing a 5 year old story about FFP without context or truth…

It's amazing how much bitter championship fans seem to care about FFP rules and Leicester "not being punished", when we tried our hardest to obey the rules, which had been introduced after Sven had already spent a load of money and lumbered us with a load of big contracts, and the rues were designed with the express intention by the other clubs of stopping us. Despite this, we cut back on the spending, ditched as many of the dead wood as possible and got promoted anyway, and the EFL were never able to conclusive prove we broke their poorly formatted rules anyway. Despite this, we have paid their fine or some kind of settlement - so we have been "punished". What more would they like?

Of course, in almost every instance, it turns out that said bitter fans support teams like Derby, who, surprise surprise - have broken the EFL's FFP rules. Because most of the promotion chasers have at some point, they are in an arms race to get out that division and get Prem money, and the only way to do that is to invest in your team and make a loss. Funny how they never mention Bournemouth breaking FFP, or any of the other teams that did it.

I also assume they won't be volunteering Derby up for a stiffer punishment, like a relegation to non-league for their transgressions - oh no, when it's happening to them it's not fair all of a sudden. Like when Warnock was crying over us going into admin and demanding points deductions because they'd favour his third placed Sheff Utd team, but a decade later when he was managing Palace and getting an admin points deduction it was an absolute outrage that they could punish his club like that, despite being exactly the rules he demanded back in the day.

We punished ourselves chasing promotion by spending loads on dossers like Beckford, Mills & Danns. Our signings the season we got promoted were Hammond, Phillips, GTF and Wasikewski for a grand total of £0, IIRC.

We still had one of the highest wage bills tbf. Obviously we absolutely smashed it but challenging for promotion that season was a very reasonable expectation on paper.

Yeah, but we were shovelling wages on Wes, Kasper, Vards, Nuge, Drinky and others that season. We bought the league, just in a more subtle, less in yer face style

Is the memory of Danns that he was garbage?  When he started, I thought he did ok?

Agreed on Mills and Beckford of course…. Mills was cr@p and Beckford choked

It's worse than that, their owner was basically laughing and sticking his fingers up at the EFL when it looked like they had got away with their rule breaking. This attitude spread to their fans. They should have absolutely been relegated instead of Wycombe.

Now it looks like they're getting their comeuppance ans they want to bleat about us being cheaters. We're not innocent but apart from two mad years, we made honest efforts to cut back.

I'll take that stick from lots of other club's fans but not those hypocrites.
