England's FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Euro Qualifiers.

A desperately poor performance.  Far too defensive again.

We need to either up the tempo and be more direct or we need to play two up top at home.

We need to do better at keeping opposition defences occupied when they are sitting in against us.

Also, another shocking night for British Police, getting beat up and running away from a few foreign thugs.  Only managed to nab one for an arrest and no doubt the others will be allowed home no questions asked.

Sets an incredibly dangerous precedent that the Police don't have control at football matches in this country.  Too chicken shit to do anything when it kicks off other than watch the carnage on CCTV and send a few tweets out afterwards.

Genuine question..

Are they British Police, at the stadium,    or just Stadium security...They allowed themselves to Fall back, from a weak attack from some  Football fans....

French/Spanish/German/Belguim...would of been more..( Brutal) aggressive..

It was the Met so yes.

If that was England fans abroad it would have been full riot police, dogs, tear gas, beatings all round and dozens thrown in jail.

We've seen this a lot in recent years, our Police seem to have a tactic of fleeing from violence and try to identify them using CCTV and picking them up during dawn raids the following days.

This tactic won't work with foreign football fans (doesn't really work with our own thugs) as they can't be identified.  It just tells violent groups that if they give a couple of our coppers a taste and they'll be sent running.  Meanwhile they are then free to cause as much damage to property and persons as they so wish.

Policing in this country has a serious problem.

Whilst I don't disagree, if you put the boot on the other foot and it's English fans away from home, people are calling it police brutality and heavy handed foreign thuggish authorities.

With help from VAR.

Always been a tricky side for Scotland to face - least they won this time !

They won’t mind though - probably seals 2nd spot .

Faroe Islands aren't as poor a team as they once where.

Ofcourse we should still be beating them comfortably but to put it into context, Denmark also took 86 minutes to break them down and win 1-0.

But yeah, one win against Andorra away from the playoffs which is as good as we could have hoped for really.

From the photos and videos it looks like last night the police took it off many Polish who were there in support of Hungary.

The brotherhood

It’s remarkable how uttterly ‘untooled’ up the coppers look. Post covid it’s the third occasion a police force has looked so unprepared for European fans kicking off

Tricky one to be fair. Foreign crowds like last night are a completely different beast to English crowds as if the Police try to make arrests in the stands, pretty much everyone will pile in to try and stop to arrest from happening, you simply don't get that solidarity in British crowds. We saw exactly the same when the Police grabbed that Napoli fan the other week, a few seconds later half a dozen others cane running back to grab him.

Crazy they think it's still a good idea to go wading into foreign crowds with batons flying. The copper in the red cap last night that was the first to swing his baton was the first to run off as well and leave his mate to absorb the hits.

Football isn’t always inspiring but the amount of teams that set up against us in a low block to hit us on the counter to stop us playing is silly. We’ve progressed a hell of a lot and each tournament southagate has managed us, we’ve gone one step further than the previous.

Difference is Mings does something. But it’s usually to help the opposition...

If he was half as good as he actually thinks he is then he’d probably be the best centre half in the league
