  1. 1. Say if the "big 6" were to leave the Premier League, would you invite Celtic and Rangers to join?

I kind of assumed Celtic were one of the 3 secret clubs anyway, seeing how they're a household name 'prestige' club with big marketing potential.

I don't think they'd be sneaky about it.

Is it definitley 3 more clubs that are confirmed? I thought it was they want to get 3 more clubs involved?

No! Scottish football relies on them.

Having said that, I've absolutely no problem with friendly competitions and would gladly watch something like a Celtic, Rangers, Newcastle, Sunderland round robin during summer.

...where would you be fitting this into!!!

The players need a break, we need a break, why would you want an extension to the season where the possibility of unwarranted injuries would most likely be prevalent due to an overlong season.

Would be very hypocritical to do that as it would ruin Scottish football in the same way the charlatans are trying to do with English football

I voted no but in all honesty the absence of Celtic & Rangers would make the Scottish Football League so much more. competitive.

I would let them join league 2 and work there way up.

No it wouldn't. It would be the end of professional football in Scotland. Those clubs that you say would be more compettive would have to go part-time and it would become like the league of Wales.

I'm not being a smartass but I don't understand why the other clubs would have to go part time. Is it the gate receipts ?

Gate receipts, sponsorship, tv deal would disappear, I could go on all day. The Old Firm prop up the professional game in Scotland, without them there wouldn't be one. Even with the Old Firm in the league there are guys in the Scottish top flight earning £500 per week.

I guess the next question is then "Is it worth saving?"

It appears to an outsider that the league is in place just to supply a platform for two clubs to pursue a rivalry.

Neither Celtic or Rangers can progress to the upper levels of football playing in that environment.

.....that is a bit of an elitist take on the situation!!!

We are not the only supporters in the world, people go to these smaller clubs as a we do in support of our own club. Look at the way clubs who go bust fight for their existence or the need to rebuild from scratch, it gives the impression that you have lost touch into what it is to support a club.

I apologize if I came across as elitist , it wasn't my intent. I guess I'm struggling to understand how a having the same two teams win the league every year is healthy. I fully understand the importance of the lower leagues & supported Leicester in League one but I don't want the Leicester team of today to play in League one and win every game they play.

Challenge is the driving force behind improvement & without challenge we all become a touch lackadaisical.

Most leagues in Europe have a a clutch or 1 or 2 clubs who tend to dominate. Look at Germany for example where there is essentially one and it's one of the top five leagues.

Of course the league is worth saving to say anything other is just arrogant, commercialised nonsense that ironically is the exact sort of opinion that has led us to where we are now where greed and money is trumping all and football verges on eating itself.

Your mindset is exactly that of these heinous clubs who want to bugger off. Shocking.

I'm against it entirely but if it were to happen it would only be fair that they started at the bottom of the football league. What god given right do Celtic and Rangers have to leapfrog teams that have been trying to get out league 2 for years.

It makes no sense to me that Swansea and  Cardiff are allowed into the English football system but Celtic and rangers are not..

the welsh league is pub league. the SPL actually has history with multiple clubs with large fanbases that have performed in europe across the decades

It's a no from me.

I hate both clubs but I wouldn't want them inflicted on the league down there.

Police forces in England would be on high alert wherever their fans were heading.

That’s a fair point actually. We could possibly go back to the hooligan days of the 80s with fan clashes.
