Yes can’t wait to get some more seats, bike park and a hotel. Really exciting😃

Speculate to accumulate!😉 more seats more funds, I’d rather see us just go for the stadium expansion this time rather than everything else and if they want a hotel etc bring in the rest of that once we’ve  improved the team & management structure within the club ?

It’s only early on the season the table means nothing until about December, no it’s not a good sight to see us capitulate in games and be near the bottom but I think we’ll be ok, either BR will turn it around sell Fofana & Tielemans for a healthy fee manage to bring in a few new faces and kick on, as this window has been a royal pain in the Arse and turned a few heads and caused a hell of a lot of uncertainty and unsettlement or BR gets moved on and we bring in a new manager to change our fortunes either way we’ll be ok there’s worse teams than us in this league who at the moment are doing better than us but time will tell I still think we’ll finish anywhere between 10/12 come end of season ?

There is no time to sign the best replacements. Why should we settle for a fifth choice panic buy when they're getting their first choice? And Rodgers couldn't replace Fofana and Tielemans if he tried. He's finished. It's over.

Thing is we need the revenue that all the rest brings in to be able to sign players and stay within FFP. Commercial revenue is where we can increase our turnover significantly.

years ago we wanted to expand capacity to 40k. But it relied on a casino and retail outlets that the planners refused and the plans were shelved.

I understand why Rodgers isn't facing quite the vitriol, as he has undoubtedly had success here,  but the uncomfortable truth is that he will leave us in a far worse place than Puel did.

Although whilst he’s been here archived far more than Puel… and not sure we are in a worse place than when Puel was here.
Puel left us we were mid table and not really looking like pushing on much beyond that. I’d say we’ve had a fantastic three years winning an FA Cup and travelling Europe and have now come back to the same place we were when BR arrived.

Apart from the fact we are second bottom and look on the decline 😂

It would longer term but I've given up any faith in the manager getting the best out of players here.

It would give everyone one a lift, I grasping, worried this could get out of hand without getting a few points on the board.

Fees like we are sleep walking into big trouble

Undoubtedly Rodgers' time is over but we need to remember the first two and a half years of brilliance over the last year of turbulence, injuries and boredom.

The majority of Puel's reign is remembered because of the players that were brought into the team under him and thats something that is given as a positive to some but a negative to others.

The football was putrid and arguably worse than what is currently happening. The club needed the refreshment of a new manager in the Puel era and it needs the same now.

Cracking, so Top and the Board are the real problem then, just willing to watch us slide into oblivion. Joyous.

Slide into oblivion? Were you about when the club was on its arse financially or dropped into League 1?

Cant see him being sacked before the end of the transfer window especially with the uncertainty over so many players futures. Mid September onwards maybe

I think mid-September is also too early

Sacking a manager only a few games into a season isn’t a good look

I reckon if we’re anywhere below 14th or so by November they pull the trigger during the World Cup

That's it for me. Is our squad perfect? Absolutely not, but there's no way that we are seeing the best of this group of players. We desparately need new life.

I think we have some very niche players that only perform in certain set ups, and it will take an experienced manager to get the best out of what we have.

I'd really like Unai Emery but failing that, Rafa on a short contract if its about using what we have

...you would have to be Sir Alex  Ferguson or Klopp to walk into PSG and hope to be a success!!!

PSG are a bit of a paradox, they want to have the biggest named players playing for them, yet they cannot form a cohesive team.

What you would inevitably have to do is sell most of the galacticos and bring in quality players who want to be there, for the right reasons. PSG could be the number one team in Europe if they did away with style for substance.

The clamour for Dyche is surprising, we do require someone to restore our confidence on the pitch,  but regressing to a manager whose style and philosophy was out of step long before he was fired, is not the answer to our problem.

The club has been making poor decisions or in this case indecisions recently, I really hope Rafa, De Boer, Ancelotti or previous Premiership failures are not on any short list to come here.

Managers like Slot, Rose, Amorin even Gasperini, would be a better shout. The need for Premiership experience is a red herring.

Well their new manager is doing quite well to say the least. A no nonsense French lad.. Good points you raised though

No the other stuff is actually more important than the seats. The hotel will bring in an equal or greater turnover than the seats increasing the clubs overall turn over and meaning we can spend more money. The more we invest in infrastructure to increase turnover the more we will have to improve the team and management

The one thing I do think is a bit of a myth with Brendan is his pull as a manager to bring players here.

While he moans about spending the summer to convince players only for us not to afford them, who has he actually convinced so far?

For all the links we've had with him in charge with all the Celtic players we were going to raid, Robben, Coutinho etc, none of them joined. Yes some were pretty wild rumours but likes of Coutinho ended up at a Villa side that aren't going to challenge anything more than us let's be honest. You could argue Gerrard had more of a pull with that one.

Odsonne Edouard, who seemed a done deal at one point, went to Palace.

Benkovic who we did have on the books having starred for HIS team didn't get a look-in.

Seemingly has a good relationship with Liverpool and Swansea yet we've targeted no one.

The only one of his ex players you could maybe say was Bertrand from his Chelsea youth days but look how that's panned out.

Lauded for his man management but no one seems to want to follow him here

There are plenty of good reasons we didn’t sign Robben, Coutinho, or Edouard.

Benkovic? The player who had two awful loan spells after Celtic? Whoever can tell us  what he’s up to these days without googling his name deserves a prize. :P

Who would you take at Swansea? Who’s a reasonable signing from Liverpool? We did well for Leicester City Football club by not buying players like Liverpool’s overpriced Minamino.

Look, I’m not thrilled with Rodgers either but even those of us who want a change have to be fair about it. I can’t hold any of these examples against Rodgers except the failed Bertrand signing but none of us ever expected him to play very much, anyway.
