There are some who have improved but so so many more who have massively regressed to essentially becoming worthless for us now. With the FFP wage cap we need to get someone in who will bring that youth through and work to improve the players that we do have. I wanted him gone then too, but it makes sense not to bring someone in and lie to them at interview that you'll back them in the window if you have no plan to spend cash. One because it gets his severance package out of the way so it won’t count towards that and two we can wipe 5m off the wage bill by appointing someone not on a ludicrous wage. The problem is that he's showing, very clearly, that he has no idea how to deal with the situation as it is and doesn't appear to want to.
