Yep, I suspect he's done his version of 'done my best' and realised he's sod all chance of being selected (rightly or wrongly) and resided himself to the situation. He'll get games; cup ties, the odd sub appearance maybe. There's always the January window

Not to mention the addition of one of the best training grounds in Europe. To have a pop at the owners and claim you've not been backed is disgraceful. He is the most heavily backed manager in the history of the club, in terms of his personal contract, in terms of infrastructure and in terms of players. Bloke is a clown. foxinsocks Posted 2 September 2022 Share Posted 2 September 2022 (edited) Savage and rio are right to think rodgers ought to be able to sort things out... except in one respect. He has shown us all that he is unfit to be a leader . As such they should be able to see his time is done. Guest David Oldfields Gate Posted 2 September 2022 Share Posted 2 September 2022 Blimey the lead in to Hawksbee and Jacobs is "we will be bringing you some interesting comments from Brendan Rodgers". Clearly said some more strong stuff last night for the Friday press.
Mickyblueeyes Posted 2 September 2022 Share Posted 2 September 2022 (edited) He basically told Top yesterday that I don’t respect nor agree with your stance yesterday. The only thing missing is Brendan directly calling him a c*nt. Honestly, what are the club doing if he continues to stay. One of the things that NP was good at was creating a siege mentality where he backed the players no matter what, deflected away from their performances and made them feel like we were all in it together, win or lose. Rodgers has screwed that through his own self-preservation and that is impacting the whole atmosphere around the club and contributing to this media narrative that we’re not strong enough to get ourselves out of this situation. That should be a sackable offence in itself - he’s now working against the club.
FoxFossil Posted 2 September 2022 Share Posted 2 September 2022 If you or I publicly criticised on TV the Board of an organisation we worked for, wouldn't we face a disciplinary process? Don't understand why normal employment rules don't apply to Football contracts. Sack the f**ker and let him take you to an 'wrongful dismissal' tribunal.Don't pay him a penny.

Md9 Posted 2 September 2022 Share Posted 2 September 2022 Don’t see how getting sacked from a job you are doing sh*t at gets you a big pay off either. Give managers 2 years max and offer them a new contact if doing well if not you don’t have the big pay outs. I know you can also lose good managers for cheap but better than being in a position like we seem to be now

Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 2 September 2022 Share Posted 2 September 2022 I work in Child Protection / Safeguarding. Brendan's stance is like a parent saying to me "there's nout wrong with my parenting or the care I provide. You just need to get me some better kids"🤔🤔🤔
ithuriel Posted 2 September 2022 Share Posted 2 September 2022 Think they will give him the Brighton game on Sunday, if nothing has changed and we lose again, he will probably get called into speak to the board and then it all depends on what is said behind closed doors.
