Yeah, a little harsh on some of the players but interesting from a tactical point of view. We do seem very easy to pass through and this does help highlight why.

We need a hybrid of Ndidi and Soumare - someone with pressing ability and focus, combined with passing ability.

We might have to play both for now, perhaps a diamond is best to fit them both in.

Yep, it is sad to see Ndidi decline, when he’s just shielding the back 4 he is one of the best and for a brief period his passing had improved, it just seems he’s now being told to be more dynamic and progress up the pitch, which is really not his game.

Not sure if posted, but basically covers everything we already know.

Careful.

Soumare ran forward a bit more so is worth persisting with?

His ability at letting players run past him EVERY game will not help us want to shore up our back line.

He can only play if Ndidi is playing as the DM.

His comments since Thursday night have displayed dreadful management. Completely unsuited to any situation where things aren't going his way.

Seriously, walk away. He's already well off, he'll get another job soon enough as he is such a "top" coach, just go and let someone else have a chance.

Absolutely, I don’t really consider him a DM, he seems to be more of a box to box, we just haven’t seen that from him for whatever reason.

I believe Pearson never openly criticized the owners publicly unless anyone can remember differently?

I don’t think he did. Incredibly, he went through a similar circumstance in the summer before the championship win. Only a few low value signings. He was still expected to deliver promotion based on previous years spending.

Why is he still here?

honestly how is he. It’s insanity. i’ve never seen a manager ever survive stuff like this.

We must genuinely be so far up the jaxy if he’s surviving his latest outbursts.

He was my choice to become our manager long before he actually joined us. I was confident he would bring success here, and he absolutely has.

I don't like the vitriol he has gotten on here, especially after what he has achieved for us, but it is to be expected. Even Maddison received a load of hate here when he was out of form.

The facts are, Rodgers won our first FA Cup and two 5th placed finishes, with an 8th last season despite our woeful injury situation. He has undoubtedly been a huge success for us.

However, it is time for a change. His obsession with having control of the ball, has slowly but surely killed us. He values having the ball over anything else. In his mind, that and only that, wins you games. At Leicester City's level, that is simply not true. We do not have a squad, or even a starting 11, of Man City level players that are 100% comfortable with the ball at their feet at all times, and can make opportunities out of nothing.

As others have said, he has a Plan A, and that is it. When the Plan A works, we look incredible, as good as anyone in the league. However, we simply do not have the players or the finances to buy the players that are required to play Plan A and only Plan A.

Other influences outside his control have undoubtedly not helped him. Although, that can easily be countered by his business in the transfer market. Last summer's recruitment was a disaster, and that is entirely on him.

Sad to see it end like this, but true to his pattern, he has enjoyed his instant positive impact, had success, but when asked to build on that success, he is failing. We can't risk being in a relegation battle, and there is far too much negativity around him and the team at the moment. Thank you Brendan, but time to go.

Spot on. The lack of a Plan B is his biggest failing. That and his inability to see that he may be in the wrong at times. With the FFP rules we are always going to have at least 6 teams that will most likely have more possession than us. On top of that there is usually 1 surprise team a year, so let's say 7 clubs that we are definitely going to need a Plan B against and need to find a way to win without having the bulk of possession. That's more than a third of all games and points available. The rest we could get away with only having a Plan A against for a few years just by having better quality players but as they improve and we aren't in terms of player quality the gap is closing. Something has to change and soon.

From outside looking in, it does appear we are a bit of a tinpot club. Player insults the club. No problem. Manager makes a host of contentious comments. No problem. Bottom of the league. All good. No transfer strategy. Not an issue.

This board is about to turn Vichai’s dream into a nightmare and we’ve just got to sit back and watch it.

I reckon we are sounding out Villa and probably putting up billboards all around their stadium talking  about how crap Gerard is.. desperately hoping they will come in for him..
