Brendan Rodgers

just to add my little bit to the Brendan hate 😂 I can tell you the vast majority of the youth players in and around the under 23’s cannot stand him and don’t have a good word to say about him. Yes he has invited a fair few of them to train with the first team over his time here but they have been treated like training cones when they have and nothing more. No opportunities, pathway or even advice on what certain players need to improve on to be able to stake a claim for an opportunity. The under 23’s are utterly demoralised with him. Yes he integrated Luke Thomas and KDH but both situations he didn’t really have a choice. For a manager who is apparently excellent at bringing through the youth look at the post match comments about Alves from the Watford cup game talk about motivational! And not to focus purely on one player but add to that leuven in the friendly Alves was taken and was the only player not to feature even for a couple of minutes as a moral boost. He was utterly dejected at the final whistle as he was running around the pitch with our fitness guy. Not only is this man killing our first team he is killing the youth teams too. No doubt about it he needs to leave for the good of the club

It’s another example of how national media perceptions are warped by lack of knowledge and manager spin. Our club is feted for bringing through and nurturing young talent on the basis of Barnes, KDH and Thomas and occasionally Hamza. But in truth, you see 19 and 20 year olds getting PL game time at other clubs without taking up a squad place. Ours are going on loan until  22/23 so they have to be exceptional to break through.

I see we’ve just sold Callum Wright without him getting near the squad, yet we retain George Hirst - for what reason? I’m still curious that Calvin Bassey slipped through our hands - if his Europa League Final performance was anything to go by he’s just what we’ve needed for the past twelve months - the perfect Brendan centre back. I cant see how playing at bottom of League 2 for Rochdale can be benefiting Nelson - in fact it’s worryingly close to Man City who’ve been sniffing round him…McAteer went to Forest Green last season and barely kicked a ball. And the treatment of Alves - that was crazy - accusing a dribbling winger of dribbling too much if memory serves,

At Burnley, yes. Holy cow, do people not get it?  He worked miracles there and did what he had to do. Do people really think he’d come here, put Vesty up front and just lump it up?

He is better than that and given a decent team you would likely see a different Dyche, but with the same underpinnings of organisation, teamwork, desire and fight.

I don’t like Dyche and never have. However I like my team enough to put that aside for someone who could inject into this sorry shower of shite the things we need.

Of course i get it. Just need convincing what he did at Burnley translates to us at all. Certainly has no pulling power as a manager, and has not proven he can adapt to a different way of working.

You might well be right mate. He's one of my oldest mates but he is also a **** lol

As I say, not posting for attention or likes, more that I'm desperately hoping he actually does know something and it's true. He has worked with Premier League clubs and players in the past so I'm really hoping he does know someone who knows something.

Yeah, so am I. However, I’m telling you from experience. No junior or senior/principal associate would be involved in this. The board would be negotiating it. The GC would be involved and he/she has very little reason to engage their external counsel. Even if it was for a small bit of specialist employment advise, he’d/her would speak to a very experienced partner at one of the city firms.

Lawyers would get involved once the settlement is agreed. That would probably be handled in house by the LCFC legal team.

I’m hoping it’s true but unlikely this is from a in the know source. Might be a leg pull.

Rumours on twitter starting saying he’s gone, along with coaching staff £10m settlement

No, no there isn’t.

There are articles saying it would cost us 10m to sack him. Nothing of any nature saying he’s been sacked.

Be careful for what you wish for. How is another manager going to do better atm. Who would take the job on? Who of quality is around? Anyone thought to be a good fit is probably in a job doing a good job where he is. Changing is going to be a big risk. Trust me.

It’s ok, we are in the shit anyway so a change no matter how bad, won’t be that big an issue.

Am I recalling correctly when I believe that when Rodgers got the job he said he's die for the club? If he did say that then considering what happened a few months earlier to Vichai that was both insensitive and idiotic. But again given his lack of self awareness it doesn't surprise me.

Give me strength. We're bottom with a single point and have lost 5 on the bounce.
