In the last 2 fixtures we have taken the lead and in both games gone in at half time at 2-2. At half time both managers have had a chance to regroup and prepare to go and win the game. In both matches our opposition have come out in the 2nd half and taken us apart whilst we have looked like a disorganised rabble.

This cannot continue, £10m a year for a coach who cannot get any sort of positive reaction during half time. Honestly believe he will be gone by this evening and the new manager will be in by Wednesday/Thursday in time to have a week of preparation before the Forest game

What is still embarrassing are the goals we give away at corners and set pieces. We were a joke with all the broadcasters last season, and nothing has changed. We have a coach earning £10 million plus other specialist defence, goal keeping coaches why can't they fix it!

I do not pretend to be an expert, but as a reference starting point they should look at how the teams with the best defence records cope with corners, just copy them, its simple.

The worrying thing is how we literally imploded yesterday you can see the fear spread throught the team.

Eventually everyone at the club must see this.

Let's just hope the penny has finally dropped this needs to be done now.

I didn't think we are serious relegation candidates till yesterday but now I'm seriously worried.

Something has to change and surely with the pending break this had to be the perfect time.

Completely agree, and thanks for the info earlier. Is what you've heard based on new info, or just no new info, so nothing seems to have changed? Can only think it's Top digging his heels in, which is disappointing.

I think there is a big difference between sides working us out like, as you say west Ham in the past, and what we are seeing now which is basically a side that gives up when the going gets tough. Total capitulation is what is happening right now.

I agree. I was addressing the (partially self posed) question of where and when we first saw it going wrong.

I have a horrible feeling they are looking at our next set of fixtures and thinking it's an opportunity to turn it around. If that is the case, then I'm very worried! To me it seems like the perfect run for a new manager rather than a last chance for a manager who has been failing way before this embarrassing start to the season.

Completely agree with all of this. I'm also concerned that they're going to let Brendan oversee this and you're right, it's an ideal run of fixture for us to get that new manager bounce.

Don't think that it's too far-fetched to suggest that if they keep Rodgers on for those first 3 or 4, we'll be as good as in the Championship.

If we had to pinpoint a match, I'd say that heavy defeat at home to Liverpool when we were 2nd. I think Rodgers didn't like what he saw, and this changed our approach, if not immediately, then over time.

Could it be Rudkin or Whelan?

Didn't Rudders and Rodgers fall out earlier this season/year? If so, I doubt it. Susan? I don't see why she would, but she must be the second-most powerful (and trusted) board member at this point.

Found it very odd of him to say I'll respect the owners no matter what they decide to do, strange comment.

But I'm sure he will because either way they'll be paying him millions of pounds!

It ain’t getting better from here unfortunately we could some how win 2 or 3 of the next games not because he has changed it around just because of luck or teams being even worse than us. 2-2 last 2 games at half time to the result at full time is just crazy and their confidence must be shot to pieces. Get him gone this week whether today or later in the week and get try save the season why we still have a chance

They’re giving him the next run of games I think

I hope not. Come out of that run badly and we're going to have a mountain the size of Everest to climb needing to take points off the top teams and that's assuming we win all the reverse fixtures against the bottom teams.

If they're going to make a change it has to be now.

One person stubbornly digging their heels in here stopping this happen is still the case I'm lead to believe.

I can’t understand why…. It makes absolutely no sense. Brendan cuts the same expression as someone who’s had enough in their role in a dead end job and is just counting down the hours until they can leave. He’s lost all interest here and the team is a reflection of this.

Whoever is digging their heels in really, really needs to take a look at themselves. We’re sinking, essentially what’s happening here is, the titanic is half submerged and the captain is still asking people to remain calm and stay on the ship, just in case it pops back up again.

It’s an impossible situation, and it is damaging the club.
