Brendan Rodgers

Recommended Posts

The most infuriating part about Rodgers for me is that he has only made use of the increased subs once, using 4 against Brighton.

How are we supposed to compete with the other teams when they bring on 4-5 fresh legs in the final 30 minutes of every match whilst we bring on 1-3 for the final 20 minutes?

“Supporters come and look for the negative.”

Fucking wow.

Positives... we have Seagrave

Great to look at.

We need to go back to basics and play on a muddy field and run up beacon Hill.

“No excuses”

Brendan’s words.

Listen mate, if you think showing me up on here is acceptable,  show the right picture of Seagrave and management!

Just down right rude!

Back off 😝

I can't even be arsed to get annoyed about the stuff he comes out with anymore.

Bloke's a troll.

Having had a few days away and opportunities to mull over the start of the season, it’s actually quite horrifying to think how things have unfolded this season. There’s a number of occasions where Brendan’s ego has proceeded him, and left the team hanging.

First of these decisions is Ward, he’s spent most of his time here, sat on the bench, gaining by little to no match experience. Iversen has been playing regularly on competitive matches as a reasonably decent level for most of that time, so it seems a bit mad to rely on a goalkeeper who hasn’t been playing regularly.

He also needs to have a sit down and a chat with Soyuncu, he was part of the meanest defence we’ve had for some time, that’s even with Fofana in the team. Whatever Cags misdemeanours on the past he’s shown he is a quality defender when he applies himself. This is something that needs to be rectified because it’s adding another dimension to the team again, and means we can just sack Amartey off.

Another annoying thing is midfield. Possession has been a constant issue this season, the midfield is carelessly losing the ball in dangerous areas, N’didi has been one of the main culprits. Our best protector and recycler of the ball, for want of a better term, is Mendy. So to not even be considered is ludicrous….

Our attacking bluntness also doesn’t have to be as it is. Vardy has I’ll got enough in him to score goals and be a problem for defender if we play to his strengths, the same can be said about Daka too.

Brendan is obsessed with all of his players being part of the “football” so to speak, and this is seriously hindering us, we don’t create anywhere near enough chances because we don’t have the right players getting into the right areas.

Daka is a prime example of this. Now I’m going to start by saying I’m not expecting Daka to be on the same level as this player, but, Daka has had the same footprint as Haaland. When you watch the foals he scored for Salzburg they were all very similar finishes, so it goes to show Daka has that same threat in front of goal, however, when you have him 40 yards from goal, back to goal scrapping to win the ball you’re not getting anywhere.

It wouldn’t matter so much if we played with a faster tempo, but we don’t, it’s all far too slow and far too cumbersome. So when Daka does drop deep, there’s no momentum in the ply so he ends up having to fight for the ball, and often ends up on his arse.

We HAVE to switch to a more counter attack minded game, we’re not in the right place at the moment to try and play our way out of this mess. We need to look at the first 50 minutes of a game, and look to get the goals in this period. We need to turn to players like Albrighton, he’s not the first choice but one thing we know he can do is, get the ball behind a defence quickly. We’ve got to start utilising the strength of Daka and Vardy, rather than trying to force them into playing in a way which diminishes their threats.

If Brendan can make these changes, and stop trying to stroke his ego, we might be able to turn it around, but we will see. Tonight is massive, he has to try something different otherwise it will just be more of the same again.

But he’s not wrong, there will be fans groaning at every miss placed pass or lame shot and if we were to go a goal down a rendition of that most hilarious ”we lose every game we lose every game we're Leicester city we lose every game” ditty will ring out.

For a fan base that is hell bent on getting Rodgers to accept his faults & praise fanbases like FC Union Berlin they don’t like to look to hard in the mirror themselves.

All the points you have made over using the players, the how's & why's..for me totally spot on..

And if Rodgers can't get 3/4 right & performing..it's he who's wasting our biggest threats & potential.

He's got to drop this "total football" lark.

Soyuncu ,with new boy is our defensive answer..Mendy again the go to guy..

Vardy or Daka will get goals, but not from deep...

I also suggest playing Vardy & Daka, like we did Mahrez-Vardy...

Tonight our defense have to stand..!!

Then Madison Tielemans Barnes are free to do theirs..

Fucking wow.

Well, he's provided the negative, so what does he expect the supporters to do? Go about chanting his name, clapping and dancing like the Hare Krishnas?
