Then we lose, even thrashed on a couple of occasions, but still nothing happens anyway. I think there’s about 1% chance a loss to Palace sees Rodgers get sacked and we desperately need the points. I don’t see how a loss to Palace is “for the greater good” at all when it’s clear he won’t get sacked regardless, getting 3 points is much more “for the greater good” than not. It's like saying "I'm not leaving the house until l win the lottery" and expecting it to make a difference! We have no control over the decision and it's pretty obvious now that he isn't going to be sacked win, lose or draw. One was, as you've said the performances were generally ok, we never got battered by anyone. The other was that we were a newly promoted team hoping to survive. I think we had a run of 12 defeats in 13 games that season? But they were all quite close. Now the performances are terrible, we regularly get embarrassed by losing from winning positions, and over the intervening 7 seasons we have put together a squad that won the league and the cup and played in a European semi final and a Champios League quarter final. He just needs to go, looks like the Forest game masked the situation for Top.
