Brendan Rodgers

He set a target of 40 points for the season - which is a depressingly low bar to set, but with that in mind:

To be on target to get 40 points, you could reasonably expect that you should be on 20 half way through the season.

10 games gone, 5 points on the board means that we would need to win 5 games out the next 9 to be on track. We are well behind his depressingly low target, he needs booting as soon as possible. Every game you see the occasional glimspe for a fleeting second of what it could be like if the handbrake was released, then it's immediately back to slow backwards passing. On one goal kick in the first half, Ward tapped it to Amartey, who then passed it slowly across the box to Faes. Ward could have just tapped it straight to Faes, but why use one pass when you can have two? The possesion then slowly worked it's way to left back, before someone played a 40 yard lofted sideways ball across our own area for Castagne to just about struggle to keep in and control before passing into midfield. What the f00k was the point of any of that? Creating numerous opportunities to cock things up and lose the ball outside our own box, going nowhere, and with not a single chance of actually creating an attacking move. The whole point of the passing out is supposedly to lure Palace up the pitch so you can pass it round them and spring an attack in behind their defence, but there wasn't a single intent to craft an attack at all in the entire period of play.

This club will thrive with a new manager. Constant talk of relegation is pointless. We have a talented squad, but, Rodgers has poisoned the players and once you do that you lose the respect of them all. To outcast Cags was the wrong call. To not play perez when we need creativity because you have an issue with him personally, is the wrong call.

Over the last 6 months Rodgers has made this personnel against the players just when results started to go bad. He is failing in basic man management and until he goes the players will not play for him irrespective of player-manager issues.

Get the impression nothing will change until the world cup in which the club then has time to get in anew manager who In itself gives him time with the players not at world cup which will be three quarters he can assess what he has and if a big if there is any money available for the Jan transfer window.

Why doesn't the **** try perez on the right wing. He has played him for the past 2 seasons out there. It's like he is making a point. I'm no perez fan but it's got to be worth a go.

This is like when someone goes back to their abusive, cheating partner because they're lonely and their brain convinces them it wasn't that bad.

It’s not though!

No one is saying Perez is a great player, but we absolutely have been far better in the 4-2-3-1 than the 4-3-3 the past 18 months and it gives us far more balance and means we don’t have this weird lopsided formation we’re playing atm with Barnes as a winger and Maddison as a number 10.

People aren’t suggesting that Perez or Albrighton are going to suddenly make us way more creative. They’re suggesting that 4-2-3-1 makes us far more balanced and that Perez and Albrighton even if not the most creative are at least adequate players who are round pegs in round holes.

It’s Rodgers continually going back to this 4-3-3 with Maddison on the wing that’s the person who constantly falls back to his abusive relationship that clearly isn’t working.

This Maddison on the wing 4-3-3 shit has to be put to bed.

Personally think we should be playing young Marc there. His work rate always has a positive effect on the team as a whole
