Whilst I still want him gone the xG table is giving me some hope.

Still think we a decent keeper we would be a lot better off.

Still absolutely awful for the quality of players here. And a better keeper (which I think we all agree is needed) isn't going to do anything when you have a clown 'organising' the setup of the team in front of that keeper. I think we have to be one of the easiest teams to play against in the history of top flight football. A simple ball through the middle often leaves us completely exposed.

Say whatever you like about the French, but they would not be letting this go lightly. Say Saint Etienne were in this predicament their fans would be invading the pitch in their thousands and quite literally setting the stadium on fire.

Setting fire to the ground? During this heatwave? Are you insane?

We’ll we traditionally perform better then our Xg so maybe that was to do with kasper ……

it’s a bit of a crude tool but I suppose after years of being better than our Xg, it’s only fair that we are now worse!

We're still outperforming our xG :p

I get what your saying and agree mostly. But this sort of behaviour or anti feeling would come from their ultras not those sitting in the west stand. I would wager the 'average' fan over there would be doing very similar to the majority here which is talk but not a lot of action.

.. do you remember the Arsenal "black shirts" protesting and marching before games!!!

They wanted Wenger gone for some time and the majority saw them as people who were embarrassing their club. They (The Black Shirts) were right, it was time for  Wenger to go, and Wenger felt betrayed by them but he was too consumed by his legacy, that he failed to acknowledge that he was hurting the club and slowing down progress.

Early  days at the moment but it has taken sometime to be now where they are, it seems like the few are the ones that will make things happen, and the many reap the benefits, and certainly not the ire of the people watching from the outside or sitting on the fence.

The difference being that they were protesting about not being a current top club vying for the title and trophies. We arguably have our very Premiership survival in question.

Whatever the score against Leeds, there needs to be a resounding barrage of 'Rodgers Out' ringing round the ground at the end of the game! I doubt very much it will happen though, we'll just go down without even a whimper.

Sometimes I watch those that sit below Top go up to the bottom of the directors box, give him their routine handshake and wonder what it is they say to him.

It is totally bewildering that Rodgers is employed here. We aren't at the bottom of the league for nothing, we are abysmal but had we installed a new manger 6 weeks ago we might have stayed up. We will be a mid-table championship team next season.

I’m fond of the theory that Brendan is actively trying to get the sack without breaking gross misconduct clauses whilst a besotted Top is enthusiastically giving Brendan his full and unwavering support regardless of results. Brendan’s notebook is:

How to get the sack
—————

* Unappealing football — not working??

* Bottom of the league — not working??

* Relegation bound — not working??

* Isolating players — not working??

* Ignoring the academy — not working??

“Thank you Mr Chairman” etc etc. I can’t imagine he has heard much anti feeling from over there and even less from his board/advisors.

Would you take;

- Rodgers stays, we finish 17th and win the League Cup?

or

- Rodgers goes, we finish 17th, and nothing else?

Alot of people answering in jest, but option 1 would give us Europe, which during a rebuild could be huge.

However, I wouldn't trust Rodgers to bring in the right kind of player, even with Europe as a selling point.

I would keep Rodgers and replace the ownership with a super rich glazer-esk investor. #footballsdead #uptherodgers :brendan_still:

We're losing 7 or 8 players this summer. I'm struggling to see how juggling European next season would be a positive.

Agree with the second point though. If Rodgers was allowed to be here in the summer, he would continue to weaken us and put the club in serious jeopardy. He's alright spent plenty of money on players that he doesn't rate. Imagine him being allowed to replace Madders, Evans and Youri as well as having a 4th crack at signing a RW he rates.

Just can’t see the board sacking rodgers if we loose tomorrow- especially considering it’s such a quick turn around to wolves away on Sunday. I hope i’m wrong- but the club have wasted opportunities to sack him when we’ve had international duty/ postponed matches.

Can only see him gone if we loose embarrassingly tomorrow

We won't lose embarrassingly, if at all. Leeds are not good. Probably be a draw again more than anything but I'm hopeful for a home win.
