You can access information about the clubs finances online and you can see we’re not in financial trouble. The club are run to be self sufficient and at this time due to financial fair play issues we need to thin the squad in order to bring players in.

We’re not skint. It’s more complex than that.

Yeah they’re trying to be responsible, is one way to look at it. Another way is that they’re being tight and if they don’t spend it’ll cost them a lot more in relegation.

Now look at what we’ve actually spent, rather than net spend.

Our budget, wage bill is in the top 8. Higher than Villa, West Ham.

Brighton, with a much smaller budget, just beat Liverpool 3-0.

The problem is we are not trying to play football.

Our team has zero resemblance to what we were once good at - fast pace counterattack.

Now we wait the opposition to come back and set themselves up before we lose the ball.  Any championship team that tries to play is better than us. We have the players but zero mentality to play.

Rodgers. No fu.king excuse. Just get the hell out before all value is destroyed.

Brendan needed to go three months ago.

Brendan now needs to go but so does the board and the owner. Its probably the right for us to get new investment, structure and leadership at all levels.

I think you’re right.

Top is clearly far too loyal, but even he must have his limits! He knows he will lose the fan base if he carries on allowing Rodgers to run this club into the ground.

It's not the loyalty it's the money, Rodgers still has £25m left on his contract. If Rodgers offered his resignation tonight without a pay off I'm pretty sure Top would snap his arm off.

We're stuck between two stools with a manager who has mentally checked out but he also won't be leaving that 200k a week contract behind.

It's a tough situation for the club as we could bring in someone worse and it will cost us a fortune to do it. It's zugzwang for Top at the moment.

To us it seems like it must be obvious they'll get rid of him because we can see the catastrophe evolving. But the board won't see it that way. There's not a sniff of a rumour that he's in trouble. If they do get rid it will already be too late.
