adam Posted 4 November 2021 Share Posted 4 November 2021 Having to have to change his system from a back 5 to a 4 every other game because its not worked is infuriating. He needs to stick with a 4. 5 at the back at home is not the way to go. It has rarely worked over the past 2 seasons. We didn't have the wing backs for it tonight but still plays it. I'm not saying there's no room for improvement, but go back to the times under Shakespeare, Ranieri (2nd season). We played a counter attacking style and whilst it may be more exciting in moments, the results are not as sustainable. Some of our results over the last two seasons have been fantastic, especially the 9-0 vs Southampton being the stand out. It's been lacklustre this season, but in the main he's proven it works. We were a whisker away from CL football over the last two seasons and we've won a FA cup and comnunity shield playing this boring style of football. Which is why the club made investments in other areas so we’re not caught with our pants down any time we have a bad season. Every season can’t show progress on the table or in competitions.
