I still firmly believe he’s the right person to take us forward.

You seem the sort of poster that will give reasons for their opinion rather than  resort to sarcy comments and insults so I'll ask you.....what makes you believe this?

7 straight away defeats.

No win in 5.

Bottom of the form table.

Knocked out of every competition we've entered.

No league wins in 2022 (it's almost March). And this is masked by a fluke against Liverpool at home.

And we're turning the corner? What game are people watching? It's abysmal.

Fully agree, can’t get my head around people saying we’re unlucky or he’ll turn it round soon.

Ignore this stupid comments, they’re just doing it to try and show there’s no-one better out there, when currently loads of different managers would improve us, especially in the short term.

Who? Genuinely interested as I don’t think there is anyone available that wouldn’t be a huge gamble and is certain to improve us with the defensive options we have.

Well footballs not and never is conducted in xg. They won because they had all the space I the world to pick where they wanted to put the ball. It was unlucky. Unlucky would be it tool 3 defelctions on the way in. We didn't have anyone close enough to the shots to deflect it.

Luck is part of sport.

Two very capable players finished clinically.  Most of the time they would have missed like Tielemans and Maddison did with their efforts.  We could have had penalties.  Penalties are subjective.  Subjectivity because of its inconsistency becomes a matter of luck.  Too much space was ceded for each of the goals.  That was poor defensively.  what followed was skill coming off which has an element of luck to it.

There's no real inconsistency there though. They were less than a yard away from the ball when it was hit into them. That's not a penalty and hasn't been given for ages now lol

They weren't lucky. They were better. We defended poorly and they didn't really.

Said last Tuesday we would all be checking next Monday if he has been sacked after Wolves. He isn't turning this around. Intricate pretty football but no end result. Terrible stats all over the place now. Thank you but goodbye.

Assuming we avoid the drop. I’m struggling to see how we can progress next season under Rodgers. I’m coming round to thinking his time here is coming to an end. Is his heart still in the job, he doesn’t come across as being that bothered. 65 goals we’ve conceded in all competitions. That alone isn’t acceptable.

But he did miss a lot of games with it?

James Justin had an ACL injury whilst playing, how was that Brendan's fault?

Saying his training methods are the reason we're getting so many injuries is a plausible theory, but in most cases there's no evidence for it.

People are angry at JJ playing 3 games in a week after coming back from that ACL when we all know they need to be managed in a game where he dropped Thomas for Ricardo, JJ's hamstring injury is 100% on the manager, who by the way had spoken about needing to be careful with him then promptly ignored all that.

Freak injuries always happen but muscle injuries are ALWAYS preventable and we used to do so, until Rodgers got rid of the previous medical set up

Like who? Most people usually follow this up with unknown quantities with no prem experience or bang average suggestions who wouldn’t by any stretch of some wild imaginations improve us.

4 points vs Burnley and Leeds, and still in Europe, or he can **** off

I get your point but what exactly would they have to improve on? Sometimes a new voice and new ideas are needed. Doesn't necessarily have to be somebody who has a better CV than Brendan

This reasoning is why we are where we are. Its always thinking about what the opposition is going to do rather than imposing yourself on them and giving them something to think about.

Rodgers biggest weakness is the places too much effort and thought into stopping the opposition.

Yes because we needed to try something different, we were losing and the lone striker was isolated, and still was.

Understand the frustrations but at 2:1 we still in it and we were having more than enough chances, if we lost a wide player them bringing Hwang and Neto on we would have been pushed back / over run on a wing which more than likely gives them a few chances & they get a 3rd game over.
They only had a couple of chances all game, had our finishing been better we would have easily won that

His post match interviews care weird, he doesn't seem that pissed off that we lost...says that we played nice football but shame we couldn't score and on to the next game. He seems happy and content.

I Dont know if you've noticed, but we're short of defenders. If one becomes available then they are likely to play. Obviously you knew that these players would get injured again but to those of us who cant see the future it just seems like bad luck .

Rodgers won’t get sacked, we’re playing ok the lads couldn’t hit a barn door today. On to the next one. Nobody available to replace him at the minute so we need to stick with him.

There are loads of competent managers we can bring in.

Of course it's three points gone. But if you ignore context you'll never see the full picture.

Our PL season is a write-off at this point and we should focus on getting our performance levels back up and build confidence for next season. We can still do well in Europe and maybe salvage some pride, but aiming to finish 7th now is futile.

I don't want the context to be played well but lost and got involved in a relegation scrap.
